Description
She had struggled so hard to save her friend...Based on Warhammer 40,000.
---
I drew the comic on an oekaki board, and after HOURS of trying to figure out how to create decent looking speech bubbles in Photoshop, I decided to just draw the darn things by hand!
I don't really like the lower middle panel, as I was getting quite tired and ended up rushing it (I couldn't save it and work on it later, it would have screwed up the layers).

I think he's jest lucky that a commissar didn't happen by he'd slap the bitch out of that guardsman and any guardsman that survived a eldar should be grateful for that

Perhaps it was the wraithbone expanding at an incredible rate under the intense heat of concentrated lasgun fire that the inflicted sections exploded, causing tiny shrapnel related lacerations beneath the armor.
Cough cough... yeah.

Well Dawn of War is one SWEEEEEET game i can enjoy anytime, the story is awesome, but let's face it................... IT must suck to be part of the Imperial Guard................ fightin' for some dead emperor and his foretold conquests............... in the world of Warhammer there is no peace.......

yea, but my whole thining is, aren't guardsmen supposed to be practictly brainwashed to hate anything that doesn't look perfectly human, I mean, if they didn't already?

And they shall fight alongside each other. The four great powers of the universe, the ancient, the young, the beasts, and man. For united they can vanquish the true evils of this universe. But only if they unite. How could this ever be? When those who must unite are mortal enemies. One shell com to unite them and it shall be his might that shall do it. When will he come? The stars do not say, but they ask this. Why do you kill your brothers? Even though they may not look like it, for they might have pointy ears, grace can, or even green. But nonetheless they are your brothers. So we ask, why do you kill your brothers?

I think I can identify the four powers, in order The eldar, The Tau Empire, the orks, And the Imperium of Man. What does the satrs have in store for them We do not know. What threat do they the builders of the temple know of that we don't. I am a Imperial guard officer in comand of the 52nd Terra regament of the Imperial Guard. I and the men had seen these incriptions before. Where did you find them.

Orumon In reply to Gameman87 [2009-04-26 18:14:49 +0000 UTC]
Well, let's be honest, as moving as the pic is, the sad fact is that everybody and everything is out for their own.
While it is true that the Orks, Humans and Eldar were created by the Old Ones, the Humans were created as pets (without any semblence of sentience until natural evolution was allowed) and the Orks were created as cannon fodder. Given that the Eldar were the 'favoured children' of the old ones, can we really expect ANY kinship between the three species?
The Tau, meanwhile, are considered rather useless by the other races, since they aren't really initiated in the nature of the warhammer universe.

First let me say thank you for actually noticing this! It was a long time ago I made that comment. Anyway I don't necessarily remember seeing anything about the old ones existing in the 40K universe. I might be wrong and just not have read that information yet. But even then nothing is impossible.

Orumon In reply to Gameman87 [2009-04-26 22:30:47 +0000 UTC]
Hey, no problem. I was just disagreeing. Of course, nothing's sunny in warhammer 40k right now. After all, the emperor's golden throne is failing (so he's dieing after about eight millenia trapped there, which screws over the imperium.)
The Eldar are dieing, nothing new there.
And the Orks are thriving... making them the odd ones out.

Gameman87 In reply to Orumon [2009-04-27 23:49:12 +0000 UTC]
True true, though I've heard from some people that if the emperor dies it will weaken chaos. Because he's the most powerful psychic in the universe and without his power being present it will weaken the warp. Or something like can't remember exactly what they said to me.

Orumon In reply to Gameman87 [2009-04-28 07:13:51 +0000 UTC]
Well, my theory is that when his soul ACTUALLY passes fully into the warp he'll become a literal god, being able to make a new body and bring the imperium into a new golden age...
No, I don't believe it either.
