Description
Donatello’s tongue was cut out. The attack had left him feeling weak, powerless, and vulnerable. Raphael tries his best to tend to his brother while Leonardo obsesses with finding Donatello’s attacker. Mikey tries to keep Leonardo from going over the edge in his need for vengeance against someone that had mutilated a member of his family.Related content

This was such a dark comic for me to draw. I honestly think Raph would be more rage induced but when it came to taking care of his bro he'd be way gentle.

He tries not to make much sound as the vibrations make his healing tongue hurt. He'll be able to make some noises after it fully heals.

I like to think that Raph would know some things about medicine, he gets banged up enough. It wouldn't be a far fetched idea to have Raph know a few things, so I like to imagine that he's second best doctor of the family after Donnie. (both not up to Master Splinter's level)

Holy crapola! Poor Donnie not able to articulate that big brain of his! Not to mention eating, he's gong to have to use his fingers or a spoon you push it down. Your tounge helps you move food around eating will be a whole new level of pain.

His diet will certainly have to be modified directly. Probably have everything blended up to a pudding consistency in order to swallow it.
Donnie can still write, still type, probably will figure out some modified sign language. He can still make noises, he's not mute, but making the right sounds for words will be very hard for him.
