Since Boom Boom appeared in Aces they probably felt the Pom Pom could be in SMP ,also she's the only female of the villains so I guess they wanted a evil token chick.
I'm actually happy she got in personally.

But I was more surprised that Bowser became a playable in SMP.Β

I'm also happy Diddy is in the recent Mario Party games as well(I'm sorta thinking about buying it) it's nice that he's becoming more prominent(even in merchandise) hopefully this is a good sign for the Dk characters in the future.
Bowser was a surprise for me too, he's always usually a obstacle to the players but to have him playable is very nice, SMP has a very good roster imo.
