Description
This is Cruncher. A mutated creature that crawled miserably out from the radiated sea.Cruncher's main diet consists of steel and other metals. He accomplishes such a feat by scooping up the metals, tilting his head back than using an unique teeth and jaw structure, grinds his food to small pieces easy for him to digest. (( as seen here ))
Not aware of his size, Cruncher will run away from anything, no matter how small. Despite his fears he is highly curious. Willing to approach anything and investigate.
Humans are his favorite things to watch. They walk on two legs. They wear weird stuff. Whats not to be curious about?
A friend of Cruncher's is named Headlight (( as seen here ))
Headlight enjoys chasing Cruncher. Cruncher enjoys being chased. They are wonderful playmates!

I'm entering this into the OC contest
I used a completely new program and new techniques in order to do Cruncher. It was a ride that was for sure. 10 days went into drawing than coloring Cruncher. I used Paint Tool SAI.
I've never done this anything this detailed digitally before, and therefore ask kindly for critiques and your honest opinions.

Okay, well where to start...
First of all, considering that this is the result of your first try with SAI, I think you've done a remarkable job there! You've definitely got the basics of the program, and the final result has really payed off!
I must say that I absolutely love this cruncher creature OC ^^ He's very original and stands out a bit from what you usually see so great work on that part!
The background itself is pretty neat as well. The apocalyptic feel is really well depicted. However, that's where I must point out the main issues:
The effort you've put into the small city itself is great. But I must admit that even though it looks awesome, the perfectly realistic sky in the background contrasts way too much with the drawing itself and I believe it breaks the mood a bit. In my opinion, it would have been much better if you'd have trier to make the sky yourself, but I can also understand that it's not teh easiest thing to do.
Don't get me wrong, this is still a great drawing and I really love it! I hope you'll perfect your technique, because you definitely deserve some more encouragement the way things are going here! So overall, this is a splendid drawing e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="
