This picture is so soft, the landscape flows like fire and the matchstick is sitting right there in the middle. How did you capture a cloudy day so beautifully?

I can stare at this for hours; wonderful! Exactly what is wrong with the composition? I'm not a photographer myself, so I don't have a clue what you're complaining about. I know that it looks perfect with the signpost to the very right and that group of trees on the far left.. the road runs perfectly through the picture as well.. it disappears pretty much in the middle of the left side.. would look like a perfect composition to me. The colours are surreal and beautiful, as in most of your pics.

They actually start out that way (suprisingly enough) A lot of mine you will see are damned near close to being BW but with hints of color. Some have a bit more color to them (like this one) Its because I actually REsaturated it.

As has become usual this is excellent - thanks for your reply comment on 'reflections' by the way - i like the line of the road drawing the eye left, but then the way the signpost brings it right back over to the opposite side of the shot.
The subtle tones are nice too - good feeling of coldness.

What you can do with color is just astonishing. You really have a great talent for it. This image is haunting in some ways, but comforting in others. Everything about it is perfect--the composition, the colors, the depth. I just wish I could describe more accurately how amazing this is.
This would be great as it is, but then you have that sign there. That really takes the piece above and beyond.

wow........i wasnt expecting to reply to any of the comments but the support was amazing. When taking the shot, i was inclined to exclude the sign at first, but i knew that would be a central point of interest for the piece. I had a real struggle with it....wanst sure if i wanted to submit.

i love the subtle hint of color. the description brings a lot to it. the way the main road ends in a sort of " nothingness", to me, brings to life peoples fear of the uncertainty of the afterlife. the second, less obvious road is a very nice touch. wonderful job....this peice really makes me think of the first pic i'd ever seen by you.

yeah im really diggin the way IR portrays the hillcountry. The only problem is - WHAT DO I DO NOW?! I think I caught myself in a trap, like x-horizon and his IR-escalators
