I don't know about putting the same description, so I linked the traditional version.
To summarize: I drew this for my late mom, who was one of my greatest supporters. When I was redrawing these four in their normal forms, she told me not to change Shredder's hair. And she wanted me to try drawing them as humans. So, I did.

I didn't realize that my mom's favorite prince, Shredder (the third one) looked like her and the other three (Crow, Mage and Nervo) looked like my sisters and me. I bawled like a baby when I made the connection. The fact that he always has a big smile and her last words were to bring a smile---that rocked me.

She knew these four were dear to me. They were close to her as well. And now, I understand why. :')

ALSO: Drawing the princes as humans was a challenge. I took parts of my mom and hid them in their designs, while following her rule of NOT changing Shredder's hair texture or face. I also have human names written for them (Cyrus, Marcel, Siderion and Norrece). My mom's name -- NOT LYING -- was Babydoll. I've seen the birth certificate. Can't tell you how many times people asked, "ARE YOU SURE?"

Drawing this has brought up some good memories. Thank you guys for letting me share.
