A really creative title, I know.But I've really been enjoying FRANXX more than I expected and I've been working on this for a couple of weeks because I'm slow and life deadlines and all that.Β
Other than that, this was a fun thing to draw, like right as I saw how these mechs were being controlled, I just had to do it.

Or an alternative idea (it might take more work though) is say 02 and hiro in a position like this, ableit they are both incredily fat, from the klaxosaur blood, instead of dissolving clothes, causing rapid weight gain.

From what I've seen, the show seems like missed potential personified, and really dumb choices throughout. Like dedicating a whole 1/4 of the show to basically nothing. That's how I feel, honestly. But, the girls are pretty cute. And in the realm of stuff like this, where the quality of the source material doesn't apply; that's all that really matters. And with that said: this is really good, and a good use of the situation the whole mech gimmick provides.

It kinda lost me a couple episodes in, and recently I kinda started feeling thankful for that when I found out the one chubby guy's sole character trait throughout the whole thing has been "He's fat, so nobody wants to get with him", we have the old shitty anime cliche of theΒ lesbian girl to being told that "everyone has their weird quirk to bear" and she'll eventually get over her "abnormal" feelings, andΒ it's now had such a hamfisted "you man, me woman, we must make babies" message, you'd think this show was being ghost-written by Shinzo Abe. :V

My only gripe with the show so far since it isn't finished yet, is the start of the show is a pretty slow burn compared to Trigger's usual stuff, but that's not me saying that they can't not do something different, the first couple of episodes are a hard sell. And it doesn't start picking up til the double digit episodes, so that's a couple of hours of investment before getting the meat of the show. Even then I don't mind it being a slow burner. Just the problem is the whole first arc before the soft reboot in episode 16, doesn't go anywhere a whole lot outside of a few moments.Β
And I'm not gonna lie the appeal of how forward 02 is was a sell for me since I just kinda wanted to see more of this weirdo girl. (And wanting to smut her horribly)

Fair enough, fair enough. Your thoughts kinda mirror mine, because it really does seem like the show only has it's few couple of moments until it reaches beyond the halfway point. And the slow burn isn't much of an enjoyable one. 02 is also easily one of the best parts of the show, so I understand where you're coming from there, as well.

Yeah like I agree there because it's very much, I appericate the wanting to flesh out the characters more, though it leaves it feeling pretty uneventful so far. I'm sticking with it to see where it goes though since I have sat through alot of it.Β
Just a sad thing with 02 being the best part of the show, is the other girls come off abit lacking or just bad.
