My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary this May with a roadtrip around Utah. We had planned to visit Mesa Arch for sunrise the morning of our actual anniversary, but we hit a deer the night before and weren't able to drive there the next morning. I had so been looking forward to photographing Mesa Arch, Canyonlands, and Arches, not to mention going out for our anniversary dinner. However, our amazing AirBnB hosts let us borrow their vehicle for our anniversary and even encouraged us to take it the next morning to see sunrise at Mesa Arch before we had to head back home. It really is quite extraordinary in person, though I was shocked by how many people were shooting it. Still, it was an amazingly beautiful and unique sight to behold that I wouldn't have experienced but for the kindness and generosity of a stranger. I am so incredibly thankful.
