Description
EscapeInsomnia pounded at her broken head
Like a record player too long dead
Playing the same song over and over
The withered petals of her one leaf clover
Fell apart in the palm of her hand
Disappeared from the touch, turning into sand
She couldn’t understand the world around her
Everything was broken, falling apart in spite of her
The room was breaking into pieces of dust
The clattered images for which she must
Save despite the odds against which she faces
The things she achieved; accomplishments and disgraces
The entire world is falling down
A puzzle from her sacred crown
And she strives to fix it, to correct all the wrong
To gather up those pieces and try to make them strong
Put them together with all she has present
The wrongs to her committed the only omniscient
Her universe is falling to which no one will save her
The end is near yet she has no savior
Is this the end, to fall in her own confused mind
To die perplexed in the conundrum of lost time
Will someone come to save her, find what is wrong
To kill the record player and its constant horrid song
Her mentality in pieces thrown across the floor
Half of them there the others strewn out the door
Who will collect the bits of her consciousness
Lost in the night, forever gone and vanished
She is trapped in her own web of ebbings and thoughts
Locked in her feelings, believings and faults
Release her from this dreadful nest
Carry her to the edge and let her fall back
Save her from her own mindless misery
Repair her damage and bring her back to me
Free her from her head where the damage began
Kill the unwanted misery from her own hand
She dealt the cards, body and soul
Yet her mind played the game and captivated the role
So help her escape; free her from her pain
Release her from those rooms, from the darkness, the rain
And bring her back to me
Bring her back to me
Because I want me back with all my heart
The girl locked away in my mind from the start
She’s trapped and confused unable to see
I’m almost gone and so is she
So will someone save me and her
Let us escape this horrid world
And open the door to the room once more
Open the door to the room once more
Open the door
And let us out.

I love your work now. I only just started reading all of your poems and they're all written with great talent. Sad, as many of yours, but also good.

"To kill the record player and its constant horrid song"
every line really sticks out and is so sharply described in such pain. I like how your words aren't so overused.
A very sad piece yet beautifully written.
