No not the Egyptian Sphinx, the Greek sphinx, you know the one with the riddle:What walks on all fours in the morning, on two at noon and three at night?
I'll leave you to ponder over that.
She is a cunning proud woman who devours any man who can not solve her riddle, but then came good old Oedipus who solved the riddle and she threw herself over the cliff in her grief.
She is part human, lion, griffon and snake... what a great combination... poor artists though.
Anyway, I love this, it really worked a treat and seems to be my tutor's favourite.

Sphinxs use a lot of other riddles too, that is simply the most famous.
I love to Role-Play them, and my friends hate me for my vast knowledge of tricky riddles. lol.

That is the one she uses against Oedipus which is why it is the famous one because it's the one that toppled her.
I actually can't think of any others she's used - and I've got an higher education degree in Classics.
But if you can name some that the Greek Sphinx has used with back-up I'd really appreciate you telling me.

The Answer is a Human. When he is young, he crawls on four. When he learnt to walk, he walks with two legs. When he get old, he needs a stick and thus walks on three.
I really love how you have the character positioned. It is dynamic! I especially loves the grin.

The gold eyes to match the clothing is great but the fur, I can't get over how good it is. I see you didn't go into loads of detail with the wings, it may have looked too much and you would have spent so long doing them.
Oh and the snake tail looks like a photograph its so cool!

Thanks, yeah I didn't want to go into too much detail, I didn't think there was a need to because you can see what they are, plus I felt that they'd feel too closed in if I put detail over them.
