Really Nice! I have only done one Oil. Most of my paintings are in Watercolors. Hoping to do more this summer. I quilt in the winter and paint in the summer lol.Β

I prefer watercolor as well. Took an oil painting class as a requirement to finish up my Bachelor of Arts degree this semester but will probably stick with watercolor from here on out

I don't know about you but it was a real mind-bender working with oils because everything is in reverse of how you do watercolors.
Working from dark to light, how to blend and layer colors. Michelangelo didn't care much for oils either and when he did use them, he did it in such a way so there were "clear" outlines. He did this by thinning out the pigments out with oils, much like you would with watercolors.Β
I'm looking forward to getting back into it soon. I hope you post your new paintings. I'd love to see them.
