Description
Every time I tried to make a Zelda fanart, it ended in a disaster. Finally I think I almost did it. A thing I feel guilty about this one is the massive filter used in this picture, even more than I used in Cassandra. I´m happy with the final result, anyways. This one is based in the first game, and a little based on the old animated series from DIC Animation. I tried to include mayor elements from the Zelda games.
Link with brown hair and eyes. Hope girsl won´t attack me. Zelda with a red dress and not to blode hair, as she appeared on the first game ending. The swor Link is holding is really The Magical Sword, most powerful swor in the first game. And Ganon simply I made from an old artwork from A Link to the Past.
Hope you liked it.
Characters are from Nintendo, obviusly.

This is very nice. I love all the little details and Link's badass pose, and I love the ink sketch quality of it. The one nitpick I have is that you made Link and Zelda way too old (they're about twelve in the first game, if that. Although they are about the age you portray them as in the direct sequel.)

Thanks for your comments. Well, I wanted to portrait them (Link and Zelda) older, like 20 or 25 years old. I remember Link is like 14 in Ocarina of Time in his older self, but I didn´t know they have an official age on the very first Zelda for the NES.

You're welcome
Actually Link's between seventeen and nineteen in his older self in OoT (one source said he was twelve as a kid but another said he was ten, and it's unclear which is the right one. I go with ten.)As for the NES games, he's fifteen in Zelda II, which is a direct sequel to the first Zelda and set a good while after.

A direct excerpt from zeldawiki.org-
Link's age has been a major source of debate among some fans. The controversy stems from the fact that there had been little official acknowledgement of Link's age until the "Iwata Asks" feature forOcarina of Time 3D was released. In this feature, Link's age in Ocarina of Time was revealed to be 9 as a child and 16 as an adult.[54] This directly conflicted with the more well-known but unofficial information found in the original game's guide. [ citation needed] The same feature reveals Link from The Legend of Zelda to be 12 and Link from The Adventure of Link to be around 16.[55]
The age of Link from The Wind Waker is also highly debated, as at the start of the game Link is given the Hero's Clothes to wear on his birthday, which are to be worn by the boys of Outset Island upon reaching the same age as the Hero of Time was when he set out on his journey.[56] Taking into account the age of the Hero of Time revealed in the Iwata Asks interview, the Hero of Winds was 9 years old when he set out on his journey; however, the Toon Link trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl ,[4] the Nintendo Power guide for The Wind Waker,[57] and Zelda Box [58] all state he is 12 years old.
According to Hyrule Historia , Link from Skyward Sword is seventeen and a half years old.[59]

It looks so retro, and yet fresh at the same time. I almost forgot what Ganon looked like! I loved playing those old Zelda games.....good times...

Looks great. You've really captured the concept of the original game very well
