How Sad those words Come to haunt vergil even in Death. If he came back to life He may regret his Choice of Doing what he did in Dmc3, I'm Sure He does though.

Unlikely, Vergil is what a lot of people call a true neutral. He did what he had to do for what he believed in, "good" or "bad" were just words to him, he needed power to protect his family and nothing like regret would ever stop him.
Also... you said you don't care but it really isn't his spirit, the sword simply reacts to nero's blood (being the son of vergil and all) and it forces his devils blood to awaken.
