Tis Dusk. I have been working on this literally in five minuet intervals between craziness LOL. It's caused it to take waaaaay longer than it should have.I love him like this. He is finally like I see him in my head.
Enjoy mates. there is another pic coming with a background soon. I wanted to wait for it to be done but it may be a while and i've not posted anything decent in ages, sooo, for now, the stand alone character will have to do.

Well thank you matey XD Yea, Dusk has been my most loved character for, oh god, years and years. I made him when I was 14ish, (i'm 26 now) and he's grown and developed over the years into what he is today. So i'm glad he can spark good memories for you. I'm always happy when I hear about my characters or stories inspiring people to some degree XD

thank you! I really appreciate that, matey! Yea, I wanted to do a back ground, even made it part way through one, but finishing out school just took too much precedence. I always intended to go back and do one but now I'm kinda onto other things, like working up page 5 to my comic. I'm finally gonna be starting back up on that XD

Barring any more misplaced offense, What I mean to say was that he looks like a character who is both intellectual and fierce (or who was never meant fierce but forced to be fierce and is reluctant about taking up arms) and seems to have been through his fair share of both trauma and dramatic upheaval. Kinda like me, hence I identify with him, and he reminds me of me. SO pardon the offense

Well thank you! As I said, no, pardon mine. I've have some very creepy people do some very creepy things concerning my characters and what not so I tend to react a bit fast. I'll spare you the details, but anywho, Thanks for the complement and i'm glad you could identify with him. that actually is pretty cool, man, thanks XD

ok, so details. I once had some creep job furry insist that I drew a character of mine for him without knowing it and that it was fate and as such the character was his. That's why I was a little creeped out LOL. I do appologize. I reacted on the "oh god, not again." reflex, and afterwords I rethought it and that's why I sent you the other comments by way of deadening what I said a bit.

He's such an awesome character. I especially love his outfit and his calm expression. Heh~ I fully understand the whole taking longer on a single piece than normal, I've been there several times. I have more than one art piece in my files that still aren't finished because I keep starting and stopping them XD
Hey, would it be okay if I drew Dusk sometime? I like him alot and I sorta have an idea. For some reason I see him sitting in a study or a library relaxing in a chair with a book or two

Really nice work dude.
I like the costume design the most. A very rugged and loose fitting style.
The character looks wise and courageous. Looks like a few anime/manga references lay inside it.
Rendering is on the nice, good side of sketchy. The colour rendering is very well done. The hair is very cool.

I love the detail in this one, working in small intervals means you usually lose the inertia from the previous element you were on - results in you working in smaller bites, and then a great final result.

um, anything more, er, well, more? alot of work went into this. LOL not being rude but everyone hates one liners that can be plastered onto every image ever mate.

I first noticed the glasses and the fact that he's wielding a weapon which speaks to me that he's a warrior yet has a weakness; makes him feel more real, I suppose.
Anything toting armor I enjoy. The armor itself (as little as it may be) sorta tells me more about what he fights.
I also like the size of his paws and his mane. He looks ready to fight but not enraged, which denotes that he's wise and learned. Overall, this character is pretty dang cool. He's an idol and statuesque.
