Here a bit more updating in that "coming soon" pic I did.
Nou, it was not for this ID.
I just decided to make it my new ID, since it is totally kickass.

I love the way you draw skulls! I can't even draw bones XD . And are 2H pencils really that good? I use any pencil I see lying around

i always wondered how you got those flames lookin so cool, and after reading the comments you got, i now know, and its a damn cool technique too, i guess having the real flames as a base gets rid of the tendancy to get a recurring pattern in drawn flames, oh.... nice work btw

uhm ... it is a bit complex ... well, I take photos from real flames (I got a nice stock) and I try to find the ones that matches better the sketch or the directions I want to be followed.
Then, I pick up several flames, I erase pieces, mix some others, and in general, make a cool collage in a way that may look natural.
Also I aply several FX, and paint in some parts, to reduce the realism from the photo. Maybe this looks too real for a drawing, but trust me that if you place those flames in a photo they will look totally fake. So the idea is to get a flaming aspect but not too realistic.
More or less, is what I do.

uhm , is a mix of photo manipulation with some airbrush over it.
i have a huge stock of fire photos, so I just pick up the ones that fits better the sketch, and mix them.
This pic has 5 or 6 photos. For some others I use up to 15 or 20.
When I choose the correct ones, I turn them to blue, and paint some parts that I want to look more like a drawing (to rest realism and that).
So, basically that is how I do the fire ^_^
