Really trying out a bunch of new things with this animation. Unfortunately, the original file is much larger, with twice as many frames, but it was too big to do as a gif, so I took out almost half the frames and reduced the quality massively in order to make it smaller.
CJ confronts Dee... In a snowy storm. Because I love to torture myself.

I KNOW. Believe me, I've done some minor animation myself, and it took AGONIZINGLY long- a whole week in fact- for a mere 5 seconds of animation!

Wow! must have been a real doozy of an animation!
This project with CJ and Darkira ended up turning into a 15 minute clip which took me a little over a months worth of work (About 8-12 hours a day depdending onΒ my shifts at work). Unforuntately, being the horrible person I am, got basically to the last 2 minutes and decided everything I had done wasn't good enough, and just gave up. Now I have a 15 minute video of CJ and Darkira summoning SHenlong (Shenron) and wishing Cell back to life, just sitting on my computer, to never be uploaded or given the light of day. I even had the voices (my friends' voices) and sound effects all recorded as well.
It's the biggest reason why I'll never do anything with my art, I'm afraid of failure and so I never finish big projects like comics and animations. They just, die.
And now I feel bad.

Looks like you've got the same issue I have. I constantly start big projects...but I don't have the heart to finish it. I either lose interest, find ANOTHER thing I want to do more...or look at the finished product and CRINGE.Β
Thus, I try hard to stick to that one deviation and get it done quickly. It might result in some loss of quality-but at least I'll have the drive to upload it quickly.Β
I do plan on honing my skills to become a graphic designer, however, so I'll try to pursue a career in that industry. I'm actually compiling a portfolio as I speak.Β

That's pretty fantastic! I really hope you get into it and I genuinely wish you the best of luck.
Where I live, they won't even look at my portfolio because I have no degree. Thus, I have a large collection of rejection letters (when they bother to send me a response) which has over time, crippled my confidence.
Probably the reason why I mostly draw fanart.

Aww..that's terrible! ((And yet so true in regards to myself. As I mostly stick with fanart-more so because I find more passion in fanart -and (let's be honest) it will draw in more people to look at what you can do.))
