Why does it matter so much to people here on DA that Daisy (who is a total moveset clone of Peach) has made it to Smash?
I would totally understand all of this enthusiastic rejoicing if she was NOT a clone of peach; if she had a completely original moveset.

Because now Nintendo themselves define "clones", not to mention they changed the term in order to give it less of a negative connotation (so now you can let go of the past and forget the term "clone" ever existed for Smash)

The only things I don't like about her being an echo fighter the use of a Toad and Parasol. Would've been more unique if they used a Snifit andΒ Baseball bat instead.

Yeah but then again, there's a bunch of things off. Ness and Lucas can't use most of their specials in their actual games, Olimar isn't the size of a nickel and so on. Plus given how Smash tends to make a few things up, Daisy was probably given her own parasol from Peach and the Blue Toad from NSMBW and 3D World decided to help her out in Smash.

I wrote down so many ideas that involved her Sarasaland subjects. All the enemies from Super Mario Land were actually Daisy's subjects, but they were hypnotized by Tatanga, according to the game's instruction manual.

That was another one of my ideas, too! My original idea was just her Megastrike, but I liked having Sarasaland Stuff better.
I always thought it'd be more like Yoshi's or Snake's or Smash4!Zero Suit Samus's final smashes. Flying onscreen or in front of the screen and shooting.
