Description
Hey guys!A few years back I worked on a card game, called The Agents. Some of you may remember, for those that don't, take a look at my website page for a nice overview - www.danmorison.com/the-agents/
It's taken a long time for it to get to the stage of actual retail release, but I hear the day is drawing near!
We got a lot of interest during the Kickstarter for a comic based in the world we created, and expanding the world is something we've always wanted to do.
The thing with comics however, is that they're a ton of work, from concepts, thumbnails, composition, inital roughs, redraws, inks, colours, more redraws, more colours, text & speech bubbles/boxes to things like the cover, it's a full time job. And that doesn't even take into account writing a good story.
Another thing with comics, is that no one wants to actually pay you to do one. So it's suddenly a full-time job, done in your spare time. But the only way to coax potential funds and investments out of people is to have something finished already, or a solid proof of concept.
I've worked on a few comics before, and they're always end up wasting my time, from poor pay resulting in a poor product (surprise surprise), to lack of promotion or any type of end-game plan. So I wanted to approach it differently this time, and if it doesn't work, then it's not such a big deal this time around.
So enter stage left, The Fallen Agents - 10 short, page long stories. There is no beginning, middle or end, no order to get hampered by social media algorithms. I wanted the comic to emulate the actual card game, so paths cross, alliances are murky, sides are swapped, Agents are hunted, betrayed and saved. There is an inkling of something bigger there, but it's mainly a concept, an unconventional comic for an unconventional game.
I'll be posting the pages when they're made available, but they're all free, so download and have a look!
Hope you enjoy!
