Description This is just idiotic in a really bad way.

Just a few months ago (before Frozen was released), everybody was arguing about wich Disney movie was the most overrated (heck, even Doug Walker said that Lion King was overrated), and movies like Pocahontas, Hercules, Tarzan and such were in that list, and that really pissed me off, because i dont think there is any "overrated movie", and in all fairness, that word is just a weak excuse to say "Its bad" or "Its not as good".
But when Frozen won all the awards, and received all the praise, everybody is now saying stupid things like "Frozen is overrated, the old movies are better and materpieces, dont you dare to say otherwise!!" or "Pocahontas is a much better protagonist than Elsa and Anna"...

...just when everybody said that she was one of the weakest and blandest, for crying out loud!!

I might be doing more work regarding this situation, but for the moment, this is all i have to contribute (maybe a review of Frozen?)

I think the term overrated is just a bad excuse to say that you dont like something thats popular. There are a lot of movies, tv series and games that i dont like but everyone loves (like Young Justice) but i dont think theyre overrated because i can see why people love them... but theyre not for me, thats it. I like what i like and you like what you like, and we shouldnt feel bad about it.

Yeah, but there are also the usual asshats who said that is "the most overrated movie ever" while also insulting the people who legitimately like the movie because they think thay have a better taste based solely on the fact that the like old (and sometimes, obscure) Disney movies.
I love the movie, yes, but its not perfect, i have minor gripes with it, but not for that i think its overrated.
I get a bit defensive mostly because of how asinine those "overrated" comments are, while on the other hand ive seen comments of people who dont like the movie, but they dont call it overrated, and they just stop talking about it and watch something else. I get defensive because those comments have completely unfair arguments.
Its all based on popularity, theres no way for a major studio to predict how successful a movie is going to be, and because of that we get movies that because they were succesful, people call them "overrated", and also movies that bombed at the box-office and people call them "underrated" and they get as defensive as the fans of something "overrated" if someone says that its bad or not as good (ex.: The Secret of NIMH, Treasure Planet, The Dark Crystal, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, etc.).
Sometimes i wonder how people would think of certain movies if the roles were reversed, like, lets say, The Secret of NIMH is one of the highest-grossing animated movies ever while The Lion King bombed BADLY at the box-office; What would happen? NIMH being "overrated" and Lion King being "underrated", you get the idea.

Im ok if some people just dont like it, and some people may see things in the movie that others dont that makes them enjoy it more...
...and i still hate that friggin word.

I agree. I don't believe in overrated movies. :3 People like what they like...............................................................but  I will forever despise the Twilight series and shall not rest until it is totally demolished.  XD jk

frozen is a new flavor in the mix of disney classics, Mostly people are tearing into it because its "just new" these are the trolls, flame war sparkers and the Geewuners that whine complain kick scream and make everyone's life miserable, Frozen is an awesome movie, and its reached my top favories, what this movie needs... is time, time heals all wounds and until people finaly stop replaying many of the lyric songs and start listening to some of the orcehstra and other less credited songs the film will just have to wait untill the world finaly gets over its shock value and apreciate this film for what it should be apreciated for not a song, not a fan paring but a tale that some one had the courage to tell this version of a classic story in this era of self entitled pricks

The benefit of nostalgia is that you are always holded up on a higher pedistal, and all of your flaws are ignored.
