Funny thing is, I had the idea, grabbed a knife, and realized the split-second of horror on the girl's face. When it hit me what I must be looking like, I quickly handed it to her. It was uncomfortable for a few seconds.

Hmm. I agree with a previous comment, her hair needs some work. It detracts by being the only non-solid form in the image. I've never seen someone trying to push a knife away, but I think the male could do with more tension in his arms and chest. But you sort of have a serene feeling in the image, despite the image itself. So, I don't know...

I'm impressed.
This is probably the most expressive and well thought-out image I've seen from you.
Strong imagery, well balanced composition.
The only suggestion I would offer is to clean-up the ends of the hair in Photoshop a bit more effectively. The hair tip end abruptly, and doesnβt really seem to fit the effect of the photograph. Secondly, I'd reconsider the toning choice... not sure what colour I'd suggest, but something a bit stronger, or a custom colouration that offers a bit more contrast, perhaps even true b&w.

mmmm...you should get carried away more ofter. This is absolutely wonderful. The background is beautifully mute, whle the subtle highlights bring the siloutettes to life. ... lovely...

man, i love your style - i love the silhoeutte against the cream background, with the faint sepia hue... gorgeous. i think it would work better, however, if she was more in profile - to be able to see her arm would really accentuate the tension between the two figures.

You are correct (about the possible improvements). This was a tough shot cause we both had seven seconds to setup the camera-timer, hop onto a bar counter, strike the 'pose', and be in the correct angle. After about 30-40 attempts we were exhausted. What you said is probably best achieved with another person doing the shots from various angles.
