Artist's comment before the stuff~Oh my god, after much anticipation, tears, blood and sweat, here is my Boss Monster for TheMagicFountain ; The Ugly Fate of the Southern Forest.
I'm so sorry that it took so long guys! QwQ This... this just took a REALLY long time to finish. I wanted to try and do something outside of my comfort zone and somewhere in my mind I just went: Alright, lineless it is.
Yup, what you are seeing is my first attempt at realism/lineless. Slay me. It was somewhat fun and a good experience overall though, so no real regrets

The Ugly Fate turns to face you after hearing you yell and a hideous green head bares its teeth at you in what might be a grin.
It roars and starts to lumber towards you, drool dribbling down its chin.
It doesn't seem to understand you.
The red flash flashes from one of the sockets of the skull on its chest as it casts 'Twist in Fate' on you.
You feel... different.

Despite your words, you feel strength course through you like a wave. But as you grow more energized, you feel as though your bones are more brittle. As though the armor you wear will not be enough to stop them from breaking if you get hit hard enough.
The Ugly Fate is now closer but has not made a physical move yet.
((That was fine )

Lilly gasps at the newfound strength coursing through her bones. It is a feeling that the skeleton has never felt before in her life.
Cautiously, Lilly retains her defensive position by readying a small pumpkin bomb in the palm of her left hand.
She awaits the The Ugly Fate's next movement tentatively.
(Whew! Thanks )

You do nothing in your turn, but your defensive position gives you a higher chance to block an attack or take less damage.
The Ugly Fate attacks!
It now looms above you and raises a massive clawed hand to swat you with.
*The numbers of fate slowly select themselves....*
You are struck with 4 DMG out of 15
The blow was not restrained at all, but due to your preparation, you manage to block its arm with some effort.
However, it presses down on you with all of its body weight, causing you to buckle to the side and take a small amount of damage.
It is now your turn again.

Lilly gasps in shock as she is moved forcefully; grunting from the slight damage caused to her slim frame. Fiero gives out a warning growl as he steps protectively in front of his mistress, flames rising over his body in a silent threat.
The skeleton quickly shoots up to her feet, darting to the side to put distance between herself and The Ugly Fate. She calls Fiero back as she launches two hard-shelled pumpkin bombs towards her opponent.
Lilly now knows to try stay clear of The Ugly Fate's claws.

You throw the pumpkin bombs at the Ugly Fate.
*The numbers of fate slowly select themselves....*
The Ugly Fate is dealt 16 DMG and 9 DMG respectively (55/80 HP)
The first bomb you throw hits its mark directly, blowing up in the creature's face and painfully scorching its skin.
However, the Ugly Fate moves to the side after the first bomb so that the second one doesn't hit it as clearly.
Instead, it hits and explodes at its shoulder.
The Ugly Fate roars in pain from the burns and grunts under its breath. It lowers its head and charges towards you.
The Ugly Fate attacks!
The Ugly Fate dashes towards you, its hands and feet working together so that it runs in a quadrupled manner.
As it comes closer, it opens its jaws greedily, as though it intends to swallow you whole.
*The numbers of fate slowly select themselves....*
A 4 appears. (SEMI-FUMBLE) (omg I am not rolling well today QwQ)
As it comes towards you, its mouth wide open to snap you up, you launch yourself to the side at the last second.
Due to its large bulk, it continues its dash past you and crashes into a tree.
However, its attack was not in vain. Smashed between its large body and the tree lies Fiero.
You can see him wriggle and snap angrily so that it can free itself though and sigh with relief.
Fiero is currently right next to the Ugly Fate.

Relieved to see her companion un damaged, Lilly calls upon Fiero to unleash a fire attack upon The Ugly Fate. The fire bear complies to his mistress, raising his body temperature to display hot blue flames; mirroring his current emotions. He roars, shooting out a medium-sized jet of fire at The Ugly Fate, due to being smashed against a tree.
The bear seems happy to be of assistance.
Lilly readies another pumpkin bomb in an attempt to subdue the creature.

Fiero bursts into bright flames and launches a stream of fire
*The numbers of fate slowly select themselves....*
The Ugly Fate is dealt 11 DMG +3 for closeness DMG boost (41/80 HP)
Fiero's flames just engulf the Ugly Fate completely and its screams in pure agony as its skin is just burnt.
It leaps to the side and you can see that the side of its face and neck that was closest to the fire bear has been completely burnt off and scalded.
It is a horrific sight.
The Ugly Fate attacks!
It shrieks but instead of the voice fading away like you'd normally expect, you find that it gets louder and louder.
Its a sound wave!
*The numbers of fate slowly select themselves....*
You are dealt 8 DMG
Your skull rattles violently with the wave and the sound just echoes around your head.
It is unsettling and also painful.
Your entire body also rattles from the shocks and you can feel some of your bones start to crack.
Fiero is also badly affected by the attack and paws at its ears, as though trying to block the noise in vain.

Lilly yells out at the horrific pain she was experiencing in both mind and body. She collapses to the floor, shuddering pathetically as the sound slowly fades away.
Lilly is disorientated for one turn. Her attacks are more likely to miss The Ugly Fate;
dodging does not seem to be an option right now.
To rid herself of her pain, Lilly calls upon the Magic Fountain to provide a healing potion. Without second thoughts, she downs the bottle.
6 HP restored. Lilly feels just that little bit stronger as the cracks begin to heal.
(I used a random number generator to determine how much HP Lilly would regain, with the lower boundary being 1 and the higher boundary being 12 to fully restore her HP. Is this alright to do? XD)

You heal yourself and do nothing else.
You are also disorientated which makes you an easier target.
The Ugly Fate turns its attention from Fiero to you.
The Ugly Fate attacks!
It bounds towards you and as it comes up to you, it brings up its arm to swat you to the side easily.
*The numbers of fate slowly select themselves....*
You are struck with 11 DMG (Oh sht son! These rolls?!?)
The Ugly Fate did not hold back at all as it swings its arm towards you.
It hits you in the side and literally sends you flying.
You crash into a tree before slumping to the ground. The force has dislocated and broken some of your bones as well as knock you you.
Lilly is now out unless she is revived by someone other than herself (*stares at Fiero*)
((And that is fine! And when/if you try to revive Lilly, just restore her completely and back up to her normal stats I just need to see a little story and creativity as to how she gets back up))

Fiero roars out in fear and anger at seeing his beloved skeleton knocked out against the tree. He seems to know that she is now in a life/death situation.
The bear snarls threateningly at The Ugly Fate.
He will not hold back on further attacks against his enemy.
But for now, he must distract The Ugly Fate, in order to get close to Lilly. The fire bear once again shoots a stream of fire towards the monster; this time at a concentrated rate. He then darts quickly towards Lilly, screeching to a halt and plunging his head down to her skull.
A fiery tongue emerges from his dark muzzle, gently dragging along her jawbone. An action not unlike that of an affectionate dog.
Lilly begins to stir at the warmth from Fiero. She groans painfully from her broken bones. The skeleton has never been hurt this badly before. She weakly grippes at Fiero's head; trying to stand upon broken and bruised bones.
With much struggling on both parts of the team, the skeleton is once again standing. She calls upon the fountain for two healing potions. One providing 10 HP, whilst the other provides 7 HP. She gasps with relief as the pain fully fades away.
Lilly's HP is now fully restored. She is back in the fight.

Fiero shoots a jet of concentrated flames towards The Ugly Fate, unleashing all of his fury into the attack
*The numbers of fate slowly select themselves....*
The Ugly Fate is dealt 20 DMG (21/80 HP)
Once again, Fiero's flames wash over the Ugly Fate like a wave, burning the Ugly Fate further to a more astonishing degree.
It lets out a screech that echoes around the forest and the whole woods ring with the sound of pain.
The creature has been bathed in flames so strong that as you rise, you can still see flames cling to it.
With a shriek, it shakes off the flames and you are met with a sight to behold.
Its' green skin has been completely charred black and blisters painfully patch its whole body. The fearsome teeth that lined its jaws are now cracked from the heat.
As it lumbers and sways, its skin cracks and sick-smelling liquid weeps through the open wounds as red flesh and odd-discoloured blood is revealed.
It deals a further 6 DMG to itself (15/80 HP)
It's injuries leaves you staring at your bear friend in awe due to the sheer amount of damage he has caused.
The Ugly Fate attacks!
Seeing you stand once again seems to fill it with fury and it snaps its cracked teeth. However, it's body is also hunched in a way that seems like fear and despair. As though... its done this all before and in a cruel twist of fate on it, its being forced to relive the experience...
In an act that seems desperate, a red light flashes from both of the sockets of the skull on its chest as it casts 'Twist in Fate' on you.

Lilly is horrified at the sight before her eye sockets. She never knew that Fiero could be so strong. That he would do such a powerful and violent attack, just to save her. The skeleton was both fearful and thankful to her companion. Yet, she still felt gravely sorry to The Ugly Fate. For all that she knew, it may have been trying to protect someone else, not unlike Fiero did to herself.
She is somewhat grateful for the strength to leave her body.
Lilly steps back, holding her gloved hands in a sign of peace to The Ugly Fate. She does not wish for any more violence or even a possible death to occur.
"I do not wish to fight you" She calls out soothingly for a second time, gesturing for Fiero to lay down his stance. "I'm truly sorry for the pain you had to go through, but it was the only way."
Lilly is sparing The Ugly Fate.

The Ugly Fate, despite not understanding what you said, seems to understand your intend.
It growls wearily at you and clicks its teeth threateningly in a disbelieving manner.
However, when you continue to stand there, it sort of... nods towards you in a thankful manner.
It lowers its head and its eye flashes blue before it crumples away into dust.
You feel yourself go back to normal...
As you watch the dust swirl on the wind, you realize that although you didn't kill it, you managed to defy your own fate.

Lilly sighs deeply, giving a small wave to the dust as a sign of respect. "Come along Fiero." She calls, continuing along her original path before all of this occurred.
The skeleton knows that sparing The Ugly Fate was the correct desision. It would be sure to benefit the both of them in the future.
Giving one last glance towards the battle ground, Lilly smiled, disappearing deep into the forest. She cannot help but feel grown up; proud. An experience that will not be forgotten.

Dischord notices the strange feeling of energy sparking in him, but it is less important to him than the creature sprinting towards him.
In a panic, Dischord quickly grabs the first potion he can find, a Potion of Resistance II, and slugs it down, bolstering his defenses by 5 for two turns.
------
I have a few questions, first off, since Dischord doesn't know any spells, would he just accidentally cast magic when he makes a proper movement? And second, what do you consider potions in terms of damage? I think they would be Special, but they could be outside normal stat parameters. In all honesty, what do you think. Sorry for asking so much.

The Ugly Fate seems to sense the change in your stats and grunts in an annoyed manner.
The Uglt Fate attacks!
It now looms above you and raises a massive clawed hand to swat you with.
*The numbers of fate slowly select themselves....*
You are struck with 6 (11-5)DMG out of 15
Due to your changed stats, you take the blunt force of the attack and it just sends you flying.
However, luckily, the potion you drank kicks into affect and absorbs most of the damage for you.
((No problem at all. Hmmm... I'd actually like to say that its up to you, but I'd personally take the magic like a gut instinct. Magic comes in many different shapes and forms, and I don't think you'd necessarily need to know a spell or do a special movement to launch a powerful magical attack. But still, you could also take the change in stats as a change in mentality and knowledge as well. So as Dischord's SP ATK increases, his knowledge about magic also increases which allows him to cast more magic. Both ways work, along with many other ways, so it's all up to you
And for potions, I'd just search them up (or find the closest thing to them), determine a good number range for their damage take (I'm using a random number generator to 'calculate' the damage) and then use that same range for all of the potions used. So yeah, potions fall outside of normal stat parameters.))

Dischord feels the strength leave his body, as well as a sudden burst of energy, like he could run for miles.
Dischord reaches into his pocket and grabs a Splash Potion of Harming II and looks up at the beast. As he takes aim, he sees the beasts state: injured, limping, and near death.
Dischord's form wavers as he drops the potion to the ground next to him, gripped with guilt. As a doctor, he couldn't bare to see a being in absolute agony. This made it all the more painful for him, as he had done this by his own hands.
Dischord backs away away slightly before sprinting off into the woods.
As he escapes from view, he delivers unto the creature a parting gift. Throwing a Lingering Potion of Healing into the clearing, he hopes that this would make up for his violent actions from before.
----------
Er, I hope that was sufficient. I'm not sure how to do these things after all. And if you don't know, a lingering potion is like a splash potion that has a lasting AoE. Dischord doesn't want to see the creature stay hurt after all! Of course, if that wasn't a proper end, then do tell me.

Ha ha, it's funny cos it would probably be like:
Silence attacks An Ugly Fate with 'book' It wasnt very effective...
Mah baby is a nerd... or he would try to take his soul... or just stand there since every move made on silence will be replicated on his opponent... so its not really fair, he was meant to be one of he gods on tratu... Pfff! ;W;

Pfft, but Misty...
YOU CAN'T FIGHT YOUR FATE!
*sparkly anime tears fall into the sunset or something*
Ahahaha, yeah. TBH, I think it would be a tie.
Ugly Fate uses 'Twist of Fate' so that Silence mysteriously loses his powers in the future.
But its reflected back onto it so the Ugly Fate also loses their powers.
... Let's be glad that they don't exist in the same world :V

Pfft, here, take it like this:
This creature is the physical incarnation of a horrible fate. And if you aren't destined to have one, it can most definitely give one to you.
Silence, being a god, would normally be expected to live forever and rule over the island, right? But if he faced off against this guy, his 'destiny' could be changed to one less favorable. Like... one involving death. :Y
But because Silence's abilities makes it so that anything that happens to him is replicated on his opponent, my guy would also be cursed with the same horrible fate Silence will face.
Thus, this results with a tie. :V
