VISIONS OF GOTHALEBRA

(A Speculative Evolution Poem)

So here thinks Venus,

of the human genus,

caught in a time and place not her own,

but destined to sit on a rosy thrown.

Where freakish creatures live and thrive,

in dreams, she sees their awesome hives.

She leads a band of loyal people,

like preachers do in church and steeple.

The wilds howl out savage roars,

of Voxyn, Stingers, and Coral Boars.

All these sounds from distant creatures,

whichever nightmare in which they're featured.

But hard is her burden,

to cut though evil much like a surgeon,

and lead her kind to live once more,

where man and beast could end their war!
