Idv fanart in this day and age?

Here's a guy that got his head cut off by a window slamming shut - i don't main him though. His hunt game is fine and his attacks are cool, speed and hitbox being quite balanced, mechanics being similar to my real main - however unfortunately i cannot stand his chase sounds and i get annoyed fastttt damn

YET my pal VeeVoo - veevooisnot - mains him and they are the best Axeboy i know. This drawing is a homage for the help i received in game, hope u like it ^^

For my art journal (artistic description of process, completely boring and unnecessary for y'all):
This art piece was made using several base colors for body basically. Went bg first with the orange, then turned the sketch to multiply mode - then put some random but on-theme color bases under, mingling together.
After that i created a layer between lineart and bg(with the base colors) and on a below 100% opacity i added the true colors, sometimes changing my mind and doing a mix of 2.
Then i went back to sketch layer (that's on multiply mode) and conveniently used it to add some shadows right away.
After tweaking the lighting and shadows a little, i began to render, which consisted of blending and setting the contours and detailing... so much detailing...

After dying inside for the 7567258061 time, i used "hard light" mode to apply additional lights, in theme with the 'warm' color scheme chosen by Vee.
Added some embossing/mean removal/sharpen, got some contrast, one tiny gradient map and noise
Serve with salt,
