It's always nice finding people who don't like Soriel. It feels like everyone in the fandom ships Soriel. I think Toriel is way too old for Sans and if Tori and Sans started going out, Asgore would be all alone

Goatmom is kind of old though, and would outlive Sans since she's a boss monster. Also, Goatmom needs to get her shit together and realized she fucked up as badly as Asgore instead of put the blame on him for the sake of looking like a saint, then work shit out with her friggin husband. Till Tori gets her shit together, I just don't see her and Sans working out. They share a few puns and suddenly the entire fandom ships them. Its not only an incredibly overrated ship, it's kind of weird, considering the fact that Toriel was probably a mom when Sans and Papyrus were still kids. Wish people wouldn't ship him with people too old or too young for him, but that's just me.

You totally ignored everything else though. Boss monsters dont age. She'd easily outlive sans. Might not be physically that old, but she's stuck at whatever age she was when asriel died. She literally calls herself an old lady and sans does too. Sans calls her old in geno route.

Wish people didn't ship him with people too old or too YOUNG for him. Frisk is still a child, as they were treated like one and given nicknames like: "kiddo" and "my child". Sans has a complex time/dimension machine in his workshop, something an ADULT would be doing. Sans has a JOB, and I'm guessing child labor laws would be a thing in the underground. Minimum of eighteen but way younger than a boss monster (Toriel, Asgore, and Asriel if he hadn't died.) that can potentially live forever as long as it doesn't have kids.

But canonically, they're a kid. Nicknames like: "Kiddo" and "My child" kinda hint towards that. They're aged up so people can ship them with Sans and that's literally the only reason why they age Frisk. Well that and to draw gross fanart of Frisk without looking like a pedo.

Sorry if this seems to be rude, but here is an explanation (I didn't write this)

► Frisk is not a child. Not in the way I see this shipping. When I say I ship Sans x Frisk that means Frisk is an adult. Thus, no, this ship does not have a huge age gap and is not paedophilia.
People may insist that it's still gross because Frisk """was""" a ""kid"".
Well, let's outline some facts, shall we?

1. Frisk has no canon age. Give me a number. You can't. Because there is no canon digit for Frisk's age. Anyone can interpret Frisks age so if some people can see Frisk as a 7 year old, some can see a 12 year old, why can't I see an adult? 

3. The only reason Frisk is 'mistaken' for a child is because in the Underground children wear striped shirts, which is stated in canon. Humans do not have this tradition. Frisk did not know. And to elaborate on this fact; Undertale is full of irony for the players sake. For example if you kill Toriel, Flowey knows and he says "It's not like you can go back or anything"; and when you're at the MTT resort with Sans he says "you haven't died once... That look on your face, am I wrong?" - These phrases are ironic. Because you CAN go back and you HAVE died before in-game. But the canons "don't know" that or pretend that they don't. Monster kid's phrase when pointing out the striped shirt thing sounds very similar. He says "Yo! You're a kid too, right? I can tell 'cause you're wearing a striped shirt." which is a hint at irony since majority of people who play Undertale are teens and adults and are not kids. Not to mention he asks if you're a kid, which means he is still uncertain but the striped shirt is throwing him off. This is further confirmed by his following line, "I wonder if that weird skeleton is an adult or a kid". Monster Kid can't tell ages apart at all, he can't tell if Papyrus is an adult or a child. Would you really trust his input, then? Thus Frisk being treated like a child can very well be irony simply due to how they're dressed - because, pointing back to #1- Frisk has no actual number for a canon age.
If you argue that in the UT universe all kids wear striped shirts, human or not, only because Chara was seen wearing one as well - Chara looks like Frisk all together, they have almost the exact same hairstyle, lighter skin, brown hair and all together share the same base sprite. They're meant to look similar, so of course them wearing similar clothing is part of this. Also, Chara just so happens to wear the same exact striped shirt as Asriel?? They wear those stripes because they were adopted by the Dreemurrs, and that was the clothing they gave their children (Chara&Asriel) so of course Chara is also in stripes. 
Btw, Temmie is a canon Undertale character who goes/is ready to go to COLLEGE and still wears a striped shirt so ???
Stripes are a misunderstanding. The end.

10. THE CHILD OF A GOAT IS CALLED A "KID" - as you know Toriel adopted Frisk, and I think either way if Frisk resembles Chara, Sans' knows the connection with Toriel. Toriel's a goat monster. Frisk is her "kid" - it's satire!

...... so fucking what? I'm a legal adult in university and my mother sTILL calls me "little one" (except in my native tongue). Moms. Use. Endearing. Terms. For. Their. Kids. No matter the age. Toriel calls herself an "old lady" - we all know the joke that old women/grandmas call young men "son-y" and things like that. That's exactly what toriel does, because Frisk is younger than HER but it doesn't necessarily mean Frisk is only destined to be a child. "my child" is Toriel's endearing way to refer to Frisk, it doesn't have to be an age spectrum to go off of.

Because this ship is underrated, misinterpreted, mistreated and people are assholes to people who ship them and that's not okay.
Why are people so intimidated by others liking something that they don't? Idek. But there is regular hate in the ship tag on tumblr and it has me fed up.
I also simply really love Frans so I wanna explain why I ship them in my own way, is that so wrong? I wanna maybe shine some light onto the ship that some people didn't realize before.

first, toriel refers to frisk as a child. toriel has been alive for a long time. maybe she’s been alive as long as asgore, maybe not – the game doesn’t mention it. what is known is that gerson and asgore were both alive during the war between humans and monsters. what this means is that gerson and asgore, at the very least, must know exactly what human children and adults look like since they lived on the surface before and during the war.

gerson refers to frisk as “kiddo”, and after the final pacifist battle, he says the following:
GERSON:
But ASGORE doesn’t have a child. So he’s been stuck at the same age… And probably will be forever.
Huh? What if the child is a human…? What?
Nah. That wouldn’t work. So if ASGORE’s your father, he’ll definitely outlive you.

(cute thing: it’s implied that frisk asks about being asgore’s child)

in this instance, gerson is clearly referring to frisk as a child. frisk appears to be the hypothetical child in this situation. while “child” can refer to a parents’ offspring (of any age), gerson’s use of “kiddo” and “kid” implies he’s referring to a young child.

while toriel may be the only one to refer to frisk as “child”, multiple monsters call frisk “kid” or associate them with “kids”.

SANS:

as for chara, the monsters in new home specifically refer to them as the “human child”.

Literally everyone who doesnt ship this thinks frisk is a child. 
Everyone considers them a child. Except for, conveniently, people who ship them with an adult skeleton.

Well it was never confirmed that Frisk was a child, by Toby Fox. A nickname, no matter how many people contribute, will still be a nickname. Plus, all the monsters in the underground could easily mistaken Frisk as a child with their striped shirt. As you may know, it is tradition that monster children wear stripes. Frisk does not know because humans don't share that tradition. Even if Frisk was an adult they would still call him/her a "Child/Kid" because they are mistaken by the striped shirt. So even now, these nicknames aren't really confirming the age of Frisk. 

Hm, but what about the height of Frisk? Well, I look back to the story of the war between monsters and humans...

That image shows us how Asgore the monsters are TOWERING over humans (which is probably why humans feared them). It's kinda crazy how tall they appear compared to average human height. I haven't done the calculations, but I've read that when you compare Asgore and the humans in this image, Frisk seems to be of average height. Usually, teens get to be of this height when they hit puberty. This is around the age of 13 through 14. This makes me think Frisk is at least in their teen years. 

Personally, my large family still considers me to be a "kid" and I'm at the age of fifteen and taller than all the girls in my family.  Simply because I am younger and goofier than they are, it explains why they always call me a kiddo.

Given that monsters have a tradition, and that they are generally taller than humans, proves that Frisk could easily be nicknamed or mistaken as a child despite actually being older (if they are). Besides all that, Frisk is stronger and wiser than most children seem to be. During battle, a young child would run away or cry, but Frisk would continue to stand strong. As cool as it sounds, it doesn't seem likely that a small child could save the world of monsters. It appears to me, through research, that Frisk is not likely to be a kid.

And no, this all isn't to simply pair them with Sans, that's just stupid. I researched this because it doesn't make sense when people say Frisk is 8 because how could a child have that much Determination? How could a kid bond so well with these intelligent monsters as they traverse through a giant underground world? This sounds like the work of an older soul, someone who knows what they're doing. 

Of course, I could be wrong. Idk I'm not Toby, lol. Thanks for reading this long post.

Frisk is exactly Chara's height when you compare them, and Chara is confirmed to have died as a child. Even if Frisk was a teenager, I highly doubt sans is in his teen years, considering his maturity (when it counts) and his history with quantum physics and science in general. there is an uncomfortable age gap, even if Frisk isnt like six or seven. Im just doubting Frisk is in their twenties. Sans, IMO, acts like hes got some experience under his belt. Granted you might not see that at first, with the toilet humor and dad jokes, but when he's judging you and the jokes are over, he speaks like a mature adult. You would not be comfortable watching a 20 to 30 year old dating a 14 year old anyway. Also, Chara was incredibly mature for a child. They hated humanity and that has something to do with why they fell into the mountain in the first place. They made a plan to commit suicide, let their goat brother absorb their soul so that they could both then go to the surface, murder six humans and free the monsters. Chara was super mature for a child, so Frisk could just be a mature child too. Plenty of kids fell into the mountain and didn't run scared, hence their items scattered pretty far into the game. The difference is that Frisk's soul trait was determination and that determination was so strong it kept them from staying dead.

In my opinion, if you are under the age of 18 or 21, you could still be considered a kid, like me. If Chara is confirmed to be a short child, then Frisk could be a short teenager (against all my research). Also, considering that I know Frisk is of average human height, it seems strange that Chara would be the same height if she was a child. Anyways, Sans could be really smart and mature for his age. My brother is only in his mid 20's and he is super intelligent with computer programming and business. Even if Sans is older, monsters age differently than humans do. If Frisk was a teen or a child, she would happily grow old on the surface with her new monster family... and if Sans hadn't had a child by then, Frisk would be as old as him one day. No matter what age Sans or Frisk are during the game, I like to imagine that they are together in the end because of their great charisma with each other. Plus, I don't really care if they do the freaky-funky stuff together (if they can?) because I just love their personalities that I see and think they would be like intimate best friends. <3

Well, that's just my head-cannon anyway. ^3^

It really is super vague. Who knows what Toby fox intended for Frisk or 
Chara to be. Just always sort of saw them as kids like alot of the fandom

Yeah, for some reason, the fandom likes to believe that Frisk and Chara are children. I'm not saying they are wrong, but I usually like to look further into things. I know what it feels like, it's very strange to get a new point of view of something if I had set in my mind as the truth.

I love you. Like, srsly. And even if he had absorbed one of the souls and crossed the barrier to get more to free everyone, he could have gotten killed. Humans are incredibly strong, after all. And there would be a whole bunch of them. Not to mention he'd still be killing people if he did it Toriel's way. And if her plan was so great, why didn't she go do it? She doesn't wanna go and get her hands dirty but she's perfectly fine with telling her husband to do it and then judging him for it.. And if they did things Toriel's way and didn't kill anyone, all of monster kind would still be trapped. Had Asgore not taken the first six souls, Frisk and the rest of monster kind would still be trapped after completing the pacifist route. He declared war in a moment of anger and sadness over BOTH their children dying and its bullshit that Toriel just up and abandoned not only him, but the monsters she was suppose to help rule over as well. Its been established that she was the brains behind the throne, after all. I want goat mom and goat dad to get their shit together and be a couple again. Like, how the hell do you go from being nose nuzzle champs and telling eachother lame puns before going to sleep to hating and throwing fireballs at your husband?
