my take on the Superman

1st the skin. Superman is an immigrant from another planet everyone should be able to visualize themselves as Superman so I made him not look like one particular race. in-story the Kryptonians absorb solar energy and it radiates from their bodies so he has golden skin. on Krypton under a red sun he would have you guessed it red skin.

the suit is meant to be futuristic one piece. I believe Kryptonians to be a strict uniform species and so things like individualism is frowned upon. the yellow strips act as solar panels absorbing and holding solar energy on Krypton this acted as a battery for electronics, small vehicles and weapons. On Earth should Superman ever deplete his solar cells this is to "jump his battery" so to speak

the cape is now a vest a friend of mine hated the cape and wanted a trenchcoat. I thought of a compromise thinking of Gotanks from DragonBall Z vest and adding a tail

As for Clark glowing skin makes it hard to have a secret identity so his glasses a gift from Brainiac 5 of the Legion of Super-heroes made of 31st century tech hides his kryptonian heritage to plain ho-hum human looking features.
