Here's a group shot of most of the things I made for my Wasteland Wanderer outfit. A Pip-Boy 3000, a plasma rifle and microfusion cell, a Nuka-Cola, a stimpak, and a bunch of Nuka-Cola caps, which was so kind to make for me.The stimpak needs some work, especially structurally. I need to find a better material than Model Magic to make some parts of it.

I can think of only one word to describe that plasma rifle. Bad. Ass. Everything else is really impressive, but that rifle just sticks out to me. It says to me "I could totally melt some dudes."

I saw someone..can't recall where, that used a flip top packet of gum and turned it into a pack of mentats, it was pretty neat. Jet would work well and simple to make, and a nuka grenade would totally be awesome. Just rust up an old can of beans or something with some wires.
XD Sorry if I'm rambling, I dressed up as the LW for a con not too long ago and I'm looking at definitely expanding my costume, so seeing things like this give me ideas (that I would so credit if I'm allowed to say where the idea's came from. Your pip-boy has to be the best one I've seen yet and I desperately want to emulate it)

Little props like this are always the best. I think it adds that detail that makes it more believable. A nuka grenade would be pretty cool. I do have the Fallout lunch box, so we've considered trying to make a bottlecap mine. My husband would also like to try his hand at making a working Ripper, and I'd be amazed to see that. I'd love to give you any tips on how I made the Pip-Boy! It'd be no problem if you want to try anything I did.
I checked out the Mentats and Jet, and they look pretty sweet. I definitely know I'd like to make a Mentats sometime, and I had considered using a gum or mint tin. A glowing Nuka Cola Quantum would be awesome too.

Well, it doesn't glow but I've experimented with how to create a Quantum Nuka! Mine is alcoholic just to give it some 'kick' since I'm of age.
I use sprite and Hypnotiq liquor and it tastes great, you have to mix them up and give it a few tries but you can really get that 'Quantum' feel. For glow aspect, someone mention a type of cactus pear pulp makes things glow, but I'm looking into blue curacao (instead of Hypnotiq) since it glows brightly under black light.
That or figure out how to get a small light on the inside of the damn cap to shine down, lol

Alcoholic Quantum? Now we're in business! I hadn't thought of Hypnotiq before, but we do actually have some and that seems to be about the right color. My husband has done some experimenting with a light in the cap and it didn't turn out too bad. I think we didn't have the right kind of liquid in it, so the Hypnotiq might make that idea much better. If I didn't want to be able to drink it later, I've considered trying to mix some glow-in-the-dark paint with some liquid, but I haven't tried it yet, so I don't know what the results will be.

You'd have to let me know the results of the paint mix if you ever try it! I experimented with alcoholic Quantum in case I ever was able to get some friends down from the city for us to have a Fallout related night of gaming, I could serve these to them XD
It's great that you were able to have good results with the light in the cap, I've been tinkering with ideas on that one myself.

Good idea. I think I tried too hard to incorporate a syringe looking thing as the base, but I need to start from the ground up.

Actually some drug stores can offer small plastic medicine syringes, without needles. For like cough syrup.

I had considered making some med-x with some syringes that my mom had for our dog, but I ran out of time. I'll see if I can maybe adapt them to a stimpak instead. Stimpaks definitely look cooler than med-x.
