Description
... It's Madame Vastra as a young girl, adventuring with 12th, a short tale based on the Venus Logo, the Rorschach inkblot test (Google it), the birthing canal ''time'' vortex and wet sounding music - of the Intro of the current Doctor Who production team. So disrespectfully on the nose, even my inner closeted feminist is fuming with rage! XDThe Story
It has been theorised that such lizards do exist, who do not, in fact, sexually and/or romantically fancy a person at a first glance.
Especially if said person has freezing hands. ... Or is a cold fish.
Vastra is written as quite the hot-blooded flirtatious creature, but honestly, even Strax has a lower death count than Chibttaker/Whittnall.
... The irony of this highly charged situation being that
a.) like with the Millennium Wheel, perpetually missing the obvious, 12th is a bit of an idiot here, but, following the previous train of thought - and not that it at all matters (it certainly never did before 2013, when it finally became canonical)- at least his pocketable big boy screwdriver is the longest, most advanced in settings - and is pointed in the proper direction (complete coincidence, much like, surely, Whittaker's sonic ''design'' is, sta.sh/0t45un8r38h sincere condolences to anybody who hasn't yet grasped the concept of a ''third'' setting, even though it has been written in the lore that a screwdriver is definitely NOT a water pistol (basic layout of your 19th century ''screw'' driver) - nor indeed, a magic wand (weren't these mighty popular in the 80s?))
And
b.) if anybody would EVER have agreed with the penultimate statement of ''having an upgrade'', it's precisely Vastra. But - just don't see it ever happening, since Vastra's supposed to be highly intelligent and brilliant at deductive reasoning ...
c.) Believe it or not, since at least Pertwee, the Doctor has been a confirmed asexual character. Asexuality, as well as emotionally charged romance of the 80's and the revival, were his character traits. ... You can't mess with something so fundamental - which is why 12th is lightly confused at the beginning of this comic strip - let it go, BBC, just let it go ...
And we all had such high hopes for this era. Shame it was not done right - guess it will never be. Good storytelling is so much more than focusing on that sort of stuff, yet BBC seems to be dead set to continue to ''drill it in'' from the first second to the last, as if life depends on it. ... Meh, screw it.
... Anyway, innuendos or not, miss the heart, the soul, the spirit and the IQ of this show ... Then again, all four are still there, one just has to know where and when to look
