This is some really good advice, especially if you're willing to pay for more pens. Β

Interesting technique. I didn't expect that you use liners, because the lines are very different. I used some liners before, but at the moment I work with fountain pain and pilot ink.

I haven't physically inked in years and switched to digital because I am terrible at it. Thank you for the tutorial!

I have an question about the pens and paper.
I use "staedliner" mostly in my sketchbook as I really love the inking, but I love to use it on 130-gram watercolor paper, really thin, since I use watercolor to fill in color and shadows.

anyway- I started to get annoyed on why my pencils are getting weak (at least the 0.1 size) or like it's getting hard to draw with them, like if I would push the nib to hard when I draw.

what I know my hand is gentle but I started to wonder if the paper could actually damage the pen since the watercolor paper is kind of rough...

I can very well understand what you mean. Actually it is quite high
likely that the fine tip will get damaged. It happened to me already
on a rough paper. So be extra careful

Liz-AAA In reply to DarkSena [2016-05-15 21:04:55 +0000 UTC]

yeah I thought that was the problem, damn. :/
Yeah i thought that I maybe should have another pen for the sketchbook, it's really sad to destroy the pen like this.
Β you newer really think that paper can ware down your pensΒ
