Description
This was the "thing" I was muttering about a few weeks ago.I was jealous because of all those Custom Arcade Sticks out there custom build for BlazBlue...and since I'm a padman, this was the result of my hard loving labor.
I may sell the design to Aksys or ArcSys or Sony for promotional purposes...I do hope they buy it.
The buttons are supposed to be transparent and backlit, just so you know.

I'm a padman too, arcade sticks are incredible and I respect those who use it, but I suck at it (not that I had much time with one, anyway, but that keyboard-like pushing is not my cup of tea).
I use the pad when dashing/running/jumping/couching/blocking (parrying with SFIII too), but for combinations and combos I use the L3 analog.

Analog sticks are clunky as heck when it comes to airdashing. Until they invent a method of dash that doesn't involve double-tap, I dunno what people can use.
Actually I wish Analog sticks had an auto-dash feature, like 3D games.

That's why I use the pad to do everything except combinations. It's way more comfortable for me to do a Tyrant with the analog instead of the pad, but seriously, dashing with the analogs is annoying as hell.

Using a fightstick is the best method to play BlazBlue for me plus I can't really the Dualshock 3 controller d-pad or analog stick to dash or to perform Nu's Legacy Edge. Using Sony's controller in Street Fighter IV was a nightmare! But Sony's 3.50 firmware update made it impossible to use two of my fightsicks!
I'm trying to get a new Mad Catz Street Fighter IV Tournament Fightstick but my mum keeps forgetting to call my cousin to help me get one! BlazBlue: Continuum Shift's EU is now November 21st rather than October 29th. I don't know whether to be happy, because it gives me more time to get a new fightstick, or angry because that means 3 more weeks to try and avoid spoilers? (which itself is difficult as I discovered one HUGE spoiler)
I wish Sony would abandon this Move nonsense and just make an official Sony PS3 fightstick for retailers at a reasonable price! (sighs) I'm not having a good month... (T_T)

I use pad, not analog stick...my advice: play more Mortal Kombat on Sega Genesis, you'll get used to d-pad soon enough.

No thanks, I don't own a Megadrive. I borrowed a copy of Midway Classics Collection 2 for the PS2 from a friend of mine once which contained Mortal Kombat II and 3. MKII was unfair, I had no idea how to use the special moves, I only got as far as Stage 4. MK3 on the other, I reached Shao-Kahn on easy mode as Sub-Zero but I still couldn't beat him. But I will always prefer BlazBlue because it shows the moves, the story, characters, stages and music are much better and the game is more accessible. I once beat the game on Hell mode yet I couldn't beat MKII or MK3. What do you think of that?
When I get Continuum Shift I hope to play it online so please add me (PSN ID: StevemacQ)

You ever try it in the BlazBlue game? It's quite efficient.

Definitely! It's the only way I play, and I set L1 to AB, L2 to ABC, R1 to grab, & R2 to appeal/ taunt, because in GG I always use L1 for PK, L2 for RC, R1 for dust, & R2 for Respect. I map my controls in all fighters as close as possible to my GG setup so I can shred. I hear a lot of people saying they love arcade sticks, but my best ability comes with a Dual Shock 2 or 3.

Woah! This is some serious awesomeness!
I really wish that they would by this design, so I could do this to my pads as well!

I'm not. This is "Type GG". It's my Guilty Gear custom Layout.
Square = Punch(A)
X = Kick(B)
Triangle = Slash(C)
Circle = HeavySlash(D)
This is how I set my controls in BlazBlue. Makes Ragna, Jin, and others much easier.
Wow, such a traditionalist.
