Description
This is a steriogram. It has a hidden 3D image, like the pictures in the Magic Eye series. They're a little bit harder to see on a computer than on paper, but most people can still do it.Close your eyes and move your face so that your nose almost touches your computer screen. Open your eyes, but DO NOT FOCUS. Slowly, and without focusing, move away from the screen. By the time you have moved your head back to a normal viewing distance (about 2 feet) the hidden image should pop out at you.

Knowing what you should see doesn't always help you see it, but for those who want to know, the hidden image is a dove. The dove is actually three dimensional itself, not just a silhouette that pops out at you like some steriograms. The tiled image in the foreground is part of a stained glass depiction of Christ's death and resurrection.

Ha! Sorry, it's a Xian image. A dove carrying an olive branch. Then again, it's been more or less adopted by the mainstream.

There is software to do it. You create a grayscale image for a depth map and a separate background image, then the software scrambles the two together to create a 3D effect.
