Description
Even though I tend to have a miserable time sticking to one species or general aesthetic, I must admit, some of the fashions I invent are cool, if a bit a perfect example of a guy with zero fashion sense designing clothes. I stuck to a generic "big man" mannequin for this because I just wanted to focus on the clothes and armor and not worry about hair, horns, tails, and other things of that nature.
Street Wear
Perhaps the oldest fashion I've designed for my character. Because nothing screams "sexy" more than a big guy in a crop top and short shorts. But while it is flamboyant and revealing, it's practical for living life in hotter climates. Sometimes there's a leather vest worn with it, but I put it on the wrestler attire. Almost any creature could wear this and be a looker in it.
Fighter's Silks
Originally I was just going to flat out say "orientalism at its finest", but then again, it so generic that it could easily fit into a Helenestic or Native American setting. Eastern dragon and Tiefling Artie/Althy wear this as their default outfit, and it can be worn with or without the shirt. It's very much a "fantasy" kind of outfit, but probably wouldn't look too out of place in a modern or sci-fi setting.
Grunt's Armor
This was an armor designed based on what I was dressing my orc in WoW in, which is actually saved in the transmog system as "Darkstalker" because it's a much darker colored and more "low key" outfit suited for hunting in the woods at night. However, it's skimpy and would probably be worn by low ranking warriors in most other fantasy settings, hence why I dubbed it "Grunt's Armor". Any form of Artie/Althy could wear this, especially if I didn't want to ruin my "good clothes", but if rifles and machines guns are involved, it's not going to do much good to protect you.
Wrestler's Attire
So this is rather "new" although not out of my overall "aesthetics" range. I remember growing up in the time every freaked out about wrestling and the influence it had on kids during the 90s and early 2000s, but with everyone wearing ridiculous costumes that often didn't leave much to the imagination, I pretty much knew it was mostly theatrics. The leather vest though may sometimes be worn with the "street wear" clothing because it's cool, but that's the only real note you need to know about. Really, it's nothing more than some spandex undies with a big belt, and studded bracers.
Etheral Armor
So what if you combined elegance with skimpy armor? Well you get this. It's actually a revision of the old demon/dragon armor I had before which featured some chrome skulls and chains, in which I simplified things down so that it would be easier to draw and pose with them. It's also inspired by the armor of Moira, because it's something I'd imagine a demon would wear...
Despite the differences between the outfits, they all have some things in common; lots of purple and black, lots of belts/straps, and they sit more on the skimpy side. Which is your favorite? Perhaps you'd like to see a characters of yours in such an outfit? Just because I designed them for a big stout man doesn't mean they couldn't work on a more average looking guy or a woman...
