Description So this is a first...

Yes, it's flat without any rendering of light, but this is supposed to be a sort of reference for me to use when I begin to construct the additional artwork of these guys for my pinball machine. But what's important to note is that it's one of the very first times you see more than two characters in the same space and really get a sense of scale of just how "big" everything I draw is. For a bit of reference, Netos is roughly the size of an average man.

So what's the scoop behind these characters?

Amrizaar: The big guy who was one of the builders of the temple and keeps it running. He wields a mighty hammer that can flatten silver balls quite easily, and his strength without it is like that of some 5 men. Of course, he's fairly level headed and it takes a lot to piss him off, but don't let the look of a gazing stag fool you into thinking he can't pummel you to dust.

Obviously this character was designed as a backlash against the girly gazelles we see all the time. Essentially just a clone of Arthur with a dosage of Grom Hellscream added to the mix.

Netos: A coward, a braggart, and a thief. Netos will taunt and mock you when he knows you're not close or dangerous, but the little canine freaks and whimpers when exposed. Unless he's caught in a corner, then he fights back... Unfairly. He has no honor and he has no bravery... He's in the temple though because he's good at stealing the artifacts back from explorers.

A jackal in Egypt that actually acts like a jackal... Cowardly, opportunistic, and almost laughable. This is not some big, buff, godly god of the dead like that Anubis character, this is a jackal as it really is. Stole Krystal's tail rings too boot.

Rhema: She is the leader of the various guards of the temple, as she is a cunning strategist who's good at getting people organized. Despite her size, she is also incredibly stealthy and subtle, striking the player when they least expect it. However, unlike Netos, she believes in a fair fight, and she won't engage in battle until you've been alerted and heard one of her jokes or puns.

The obvious personal touch of mine, but also a sort of subversion of having an obnoxious and loud male being the "big fat reptile" role. Rhema brings back the stealthy nature of crocodiles, rather the usual "clumsy but dangerous" nature often seen in cartoons.

Shadya: The powerful sorceress who has remained at the temple with her fellow guardians to protect the magical artifacts. She is a crafty trickster who challenges wannabe adventurers to solve puzzles or suffer the consequences. Her knowledge of the artifacts is great and she knows how to use them to her team's advantage, and she isn't about to let those pesky humans take it all away!

The original character back when it was a board game known as "Temple of Shadya", she comes in this with a bit of a revamp in order to fit in with the rest of her team mates.

...

I hope you all find this interesting, and hopefully, I'll have more artwork of them soon, as well as parts of the table!
