I coughed a bit, bringing my arm up to cover my mouth when I noticed that it wasn't a bug that I had spat out, but a tiny boy, "Wh-What?!"

He whimpered a bit, scrambling back the best he could, tears forming in his eyes

I took a moment to calm my breathing before I slowly reached out toward him, "Hey...Sorry about that, little guy."

"L-Live?!" I gasped, covering my mouth, "I'm sorry but you can't live in my mouth." I paused, "But you are free to stay here until you find a better place."

Arthur, or Artie as he goes by more often, blinked in confusion in till it registered that something was in his mouth. Shutting his mouth closed and sitting up carefully, his tongue poked at the object in his mouth. Odd...it didn't feel like a bug... And he should know, since he unfortunately had the pleasure of swallowing bugs before. Mostly when he went biking.. Opening his mouth once more, he gently plucked the bug-sized thing out with his fingers, before holding it in front of his face to observe.

The tiny boy that had been in Arthur's mouth yelped when he closed his mouth, feeling the changing of position when the giant both poked him with his tongue and sat up. When he pulled the boy out, he struggled a bit, whimpering. "D-d-don't kill me!" He pleaded, squeezing his eyes shut, fearing the giant would be angry that he was in his mouth

His eyes widened in shock at what he saw. He.. He couldn't be imagining this, could he? No, it was real, but the 3 inch boy in his grasp defied all the laws of science he knew. Artie seemed to snap out of it when the tiny began to plead. "Kill you? Why would I do that?" The blond asked with a raised eyebrow.

He whimpered, closing his eyes and trembling. "O-other p-p-people...have t-tried to kill me before...p-please...d-don't kill me..." He said again softly, knowing if the boy DID choose to end his life the smaller could do nothing about it

He frowned, before carefully setting the insect-sized boy on the open palm of his free hand. "I won't. You're a person, after all, and I'm no murderer," He replied, his tone sincere. He didn't want to scare the boy more, so he had to show that he was friendly. "Are you okay, though? I didn't hurt you when you..were in my mouth, right?"

He sniffled, shaking his head a bit. "N-n-no...you didn't...j-just gave me a scare..."

He gave a little sigh in relief, "Good.. Speaking of that, why were you in my mouth anyways? Isn't that dangerous for you?"

He shook his head, biting his lip. "N-no...not really..."

"What do you mean 'not really'? I could've swallowed you, or accidentally crushed you with my teeth.." He said, generally worried. What if he tried again? He had to know the risks of doing something like that..

"...I wouldn't have lasted this long at three inches if my body wasn't prepared for it...I'm hard to hurt..." He said softly

Artie sighed, biting the inside of his cheek slightly before saying, "Still. If it had been anybody else, they could've done something to you. You need to be careful, little guy."

"Anyways.." He decided to move onto a different subject, "I'm Arthur, but feel free to call me Artie. What's your name?"

He nodded. "A-alright, Artie...I...I'm Chett..."

"Nice to meet you, Chett," He said kindly, gently petting the top of the tiny's head with his index finger in hope of making him more comfortable. In retrospect, it was probably a stupid thing to do, but he really just did it without thinking.

He cringed, then flinched and whimpered, trembling a bit

He frowned, pulling his finger away when he saw that it wasn't helping. "Sorry.. Is there anything I can do that will help you calm down?"

He shook his head. "I-I just need time..."

"I see.." He responded with a small nod. He thought for a few moments, before saying, "You never did explain to me why you were in my mouth.. I can't imagine that being an accident.."

"Live? And..you thought I wouldn't feel you in there?" Artie inquired, his expression slightly confused.

He looked down. "I...I knew you would eventually...I just...I was scared to approach and ask..."

His eyes softened a little, understanding that it would've been hard for him to even come close.. "Well.. You have the opportunity to ask now.." He said with a slight shrug.

He looked up slowly. "...w-why would you want me to ask...? You'd say no anyway...wouldn't you?"

"Depends.. If you felt comfortable enough to crawl into my mouth when I'm asleep, then I think you'd like being inside even more when I'm awake and aware of you being there. I mean, it all depends on how you feel," He responded.

He blinked, surprised. "Of course I'd want to be inside with you awake...but...you'd really be okay with me living in your mouth?"

"I won't lie, it'll be a little weird for me at first, but it's okay. I'll get used to it anyways," He told him with a small nod.

He smiled softly. "Then...m-may I live in your mouth?"

"Sure," He said with a gentle smile. He brought the tiny boy up to his face, opening his mouth wide as he did. Once his hand were next to his open maw, he tilted it, letting him slide onto his tongue.

He blinked, surprised, then smiled when he slid onto the giant's warm, squishy tongue. "Thank you~"

Artie chuckled softly, replying with a slightly mumbled sounding "You're welcome." It's a bit hard speaking when something was in his mouth. He sealed his lips shut, but kept his jaw open a bit so Chett had room to move.

Chett smiled, moving toward Artie's cheek, sliding inside after climbing over his teeth

Artie smiled at the shift, finding it a bit easier now. It kinda reminded him of just sucking or saving a jawbreaker..except it was with a little person. He kept his jaws slightly open, so Chett could move whenever he wanted to. Deciding that he shouldn't laze around, he got out of bed, wincing a little at the cold floor, before he began getting ready for the day.
