Brayan froze as his eyes widened. "Y-You're what?" He squeaked. "B-But how is that even possible?"

"Well yeah but..." Brayan trailed off as he started shaking again. "I just never thought... it never sunk in that you wouldn't be from Earth..."

He sighed a bit, looking away. "...don't be scared...I won't hurt you...but...you probably don't believe that..."

Brayan frowned as he looked up at the giant being. "Hey... I'm not scared of you." Brayan said, Β despite the fact he was still shaking. "It's just... a lot to take in." He explained. "I mean, before today I didn't think that sentient beings that aren't humans even existed." Brayan said with a light laugh.Β

He sighed. "Yeah, I guess so...not that all those movies about aliens help..."

Brayan smiled a little bit as he looked up at his friend. "I'm not much into those movies anyway. And it's not like I expect you to be like those aliens." He said. "Though... besides being able to shrink people, what other kinds of things can you do?"

He shrugged. "I didn't mean to...but...well...I can't spare much magic...I still discover new things I can do all the time."

Brayan's eyes widened at this. "Wait, seriously? You have magic that just does random things?"

"Not completely. Just sometimes."

"So... other times you can control it?" Brayan asked.

He nodded. "Yeah."

"So were you controlling it when you did this to me?" Brayan asked curiously, referring to his current height.Β

He shook his head. "No! I...it was an accident...I only wanted to talk to you...not...this..."

Brayan actually laughed a little at this. "You don't have to panic. I figured it was probably an accident, i just wanted to make sure." He said. "I don't know why you would have done this on purpose."Β

He blushed slightly, then bit his lip. "Hey...so...um..." He sighed, looking away and rubbing the back of his neck. "...are you still...you know...mad at me...?"

"Well..." Brayan took a moment to think before sighing. "I guess not. It was just an accident... and it is really good to see you again..."

He brightened a bit, then smiled, hugging Brayan tightly, but still gentle enough to not hurt him. "...you have no idea how much that means..."

Brayan yelped in surprise before his face lit up bright red. "Okay! Okay! I get it, you're happy!" He said, but even as he did he couldn't help but smile a little.Β

He blushed, nuzzling Brayan before putting him down gently. "Sorry, sorry..." He said with a small chuckle and sheepish expression

Brayan continued to blush as he straightened out his clothes. "It's alright." He mumbled as he looked down in embarrassment.Β

He hesitated. "So, um...are you hungry..?"

"After being eaten twice today, no. Not really." Brayan said as he looked back up at his friend.

"Y-yeah..." Jak stammered without opening his eyes. "I can hear you... but what's going on?"

Jak frowned, uncomfortable, but he tried to comply. Keeping his eyes closed was easy, at least partly, but relaxing... relaxing was really tough.

Soon, a gentle rocking motion was added to the darkness, as well as a thudding heartbeat, soft and calm. "Try to get some rest for now...alright?"

"Like that's possible, with what just happened..." Jak muttered softly, but nonetheless, he still tried to relax. Eyes still closed, he felt around on the ground with a hand to see if there was a wall he could lean against.

The area he was in seemed wide, but before too long his hand hit a smooth 'wall' that started to curve the closer it got to the top, and it felt as if it was made of a thick glass, but even so, the glass was warm...almost body-temperature...

"This keeps getting weirder and weirder..." Jak said softly, leaning against the glass, and, finally, starting to relax. Before he'd realized what was happening, the warmth and the steady heartbeat lulled him to sleep.

Zakaru smiled in amusement, knowing Jak had fallen asleep as he walked home, lying down on his bed and reaching up to touch the glowing blue pendent around his neck...the pendent made of glass...

A short while later, Jak awoke again, looking around with a sleepy, confused expression on his face.

He chuckled. "Awake yet, Jak?" He asked softly, taking the necklace off, leaving the 'room' Jak was in swinging a bit until he steadied it with his hand carefully, and everything Jak saw around him was giant and blue-tinted

"Yes..." Jak replied, starting to realize what was happening but refusing to believe it. After all... that was impossible!...wasn't it? "W-what's going on?" he asked, a bit frightened.

He smiled, lifting the necklace to his face, his eyes appearing green through the glass. "It's alright...please, don't be afraid..." He said, speaking softly and soothingly

"W-whaaaa.... Z-Zakaru... is that you I'm seeing through the glass?" Jak asked, pressing himself against the opposite wall in absolute terror. So, it was real! He was tiny, and trapped in... something, and who knew what was planned for him next!?

He nodded, gently touching the back of the pendent with his fingertip. "Yeah...it's me, Jak...please don't be afraid...I'm not going to hurt you..."

"What... what happened?" Jak asked, flinching a bit.

"I'll tell you...I promise...just...don't be afraid, alright?"

"Kinda a hard request for me to grant, when I have no idea what's happened to me," Jak said with a nervous chuckle.

"Alright...want to be let out of there? You'd still be the same size as right now, but at least then I can put you on my pillow or something..."

Jak thought about it for a moment, then shook his head. "If I'm going to be stuck being tiny... I think I'd rather do it while somewhere it's harder for anything to hurt me..." he replied.

"Jak, there's nothing to hurt you here...no one else is in this house but me..."

Again, Jak hesitated, but shook his head again. "I think I'd still rather stay in here. What is this, anyway?"

He sighed, laying back and putting the pendent gently on his belly, covering it with a cupped hand. "...my birthstone pendent...I've had it as long as I can remember..."

"I remember it..." Jak said softly, and then added, "Er, would you mind not covering it up like that? I can't see a thing."
