Merodi:*she closed her eyes, frowning in concentration*...it got dark, I kept wandering around. I was crying a lot...then I tripped over a tree root, scratching my knee. As I was trying to get up, I...I think...someone called to me...

Merodi:...I couldn't see them right at first, it was too dark. They looked funny...like...they weren't human.....they were asking if I needed help. I don't think they could understand me at first, I'd been crying and wasn't speaking clearly...they helped me up, but...their nails...they were long and sharp, I could feel them against my clothes...

He sighed, setting her down once they were outside of his cave, nuzzling her

Merodi:...I did? ...I...I might know the reason for that. After I returned home, my parents went ballistic at me for being gone for so long. after that day, I was never allowed outside the castle unless with an escort, and even then I could only go to certain areas, the forest not being one of them. The only reason I was out there now was because my parents now consider me of age to be allowed to roam by myself.....and I...I kind of chise to rebel a little by coming out here again.
