I smirked softly. "I'll let you get the first move in...since your real trainer's not here, you have to decide for yourself what moves to use...and Forest, go easy on her." I said, looking at the grotle, who nodded

I nodded and smiled happily.
Hmmm which move should i start with? Β thought for a Β moment then smiled when i remembered my very first move.
I half stepped back as i swung my arms back and my claws started to glow. "Draaaaay!" i growled slightly. I jumped forward and hit the grottle as hard as I could as i used dragon claw

The grotle let out a cry, and I cringed. "Forest, use vine whip!" Suddenly two vines sprouted from his back, lashing towards you

I squeaked in surprise and jumped out of the way of the one but the other caught my long tail and tossed me back. I landed hard and tumbled for a bit. I groaned and pushed myself back up and shook myself off.
I glared at Forrest and took a big breath and shot a waterspout at him

Forest smiled, seeming to huff in laughter, enjoying this move she used, and I smiled as well. "Good job, Dray~"

I smiled happily as i stopped but didnt feel all the proud of the move. It wasnt strong enough yet.
Maybe if i tried ice blast? But i didnt get it rite the last time.. I'll try it anyway.
"Watch out Forrest im gonna try and see if i can do ice blast" i warned the grotle and stood ready again.
I took another breath and this time held my mouth open as a silver ball of light started to form. I scrunched my eyes shut concentrating on the energy. I tried to fire it but it fell short and i yelled out as the ice blast burst in front of me sending me tumbling backwards.

Both myself and Forest ran to your side instantly. "A-are you okay, Dray?!" I asked, concerned as I scooped you up

"Draaay.." i groaned and rubbed my nose where some of the ice had hit. I opened my eyes and looked up and nodded a bit, feeling bad that my own attack had backfired on me. "Dray.." i said sounding a bit disappointed and looked down at the ice patch where my attack hat fallen and sighed slightly. I cuddled into him a bit

I hugged her and kissed her nose gently. "There you go...you're okay..."

I smiled a bit as i looked up at him gratefully.
I smiled sheepishly at the Grottle. "At least i didnt say i was any good at that Β move, or that would have been even more embarrising" i said to him before snuggling more into my friend

He chuckled, gently nudging her as I knelt down and put her down gently. "There we go...we need to practice on that move..."

I turned to look at them and smiled sheepishly as i rubbed the back of my head and nodded. For being part water type, i sure was having a lot of problems with ice/water moves. Exactly the reason as to why i was so envious of dragonairs and dragonites. Β
I looked up at the sun and remembered that my regular trainer always had me practice rejuvenation often to strengthen the healing effect. I closed my eyes and let the sun's rays be absorbed by the jewel on top of my head and it started to glow, soon the glow spread to the rest of my body before fading away. I opened my eyes and smiled at my friends feeling refreshed

I scuttled away slightly and took my stance again. I was determined to at least fire the ice blast half way.

I nodded and opened my mouth again this time feeling the energy a bit better as a silver ball of light started to form again. I growled a bit, concentrating then shot my head forward and two lightning like tendrils shot out freezing the ground where they touched it and just barely made it to forrest

Forest cringed a bit, then smirked softly and smiled as I laughed a bit. "Good job~!"

I smiled happily and my small wings fluttered. That was the first time id ever successfully fired an ice blast. I looked at them with a bright smile.

I knelt down, patting her head and hugging her. "Oh, I'm so proud of you."

I smiled and jumped up and hugged him back feeling very happy

I giggled and smiled happily as i nuzzled his face. I was glad i could do it too. And even more glad he had so much faith in me
