Thanks but it's not a macro, just a close up. Macro would be much closer.

And...how, exactly, did you get this shot? I'm assuming that you must trust these wild cats an awful lot. Incredible photography! Truly a masterpiece! And I never thought I would be saying that about a tongue!

Those long, sharp & straight teeth reminds me of a saber-tooth.

Is the main focus the tongue or the teeth?

On the tongue for his papillae which are like a rasp. It's amazing, these larger cats can make you bleed by just licking ones hands.

With lots of patience, a long lens and a bit luck. If the cheetah brothers are close to the fence, they're mostly too close too get a photo without visible fence but this time I had enough luck that one stayed not too close to the fence.

Thank you very much. Nowadays, you have to look for something especial, something others haven't or have barely photographed to try to stand out with it. That is everything but easy because of so many people with cameras.

Yeah, I still want to get closer Seeing it through the viewfinder is very impressive. I bet I'm not the only one who stops breathing when seeing something impressive like that close up.

:3 Ich meinte, vom Abbildungsmaßstab her.
