Description
Ashworth explains his new powers called Nature's Synthesis - an advanced ability in alchemy! He uses what's called Black Flame magic to initiate it.Love that first panel on the last page to PART02 of this Chapter08 Pre-Sketches series.
I also like how I made Ashworth look confident and not too cocky! Ruby is like... "Wow....!"

Nah it's made from his Black Flame magic which can store elements and materials within it. He heats them up and makes them into a compound of some object - whatever he can make with within his limit and creativity. *thumbs up*

Yeah it was going to a hard decision on whether to keep him non-expressive or expressive type. But at the end I went and experimented with adding some emotion to him and it worked well.
But I will add the exception that you will rarely see him expressing himself so stronger as displayed on the last panel of the last page presented here.

A: Actually, it's the Ludicrous Metal Bat of the 10 year old kid Down the Block.
The idea came after he had barbecued vegetables and rice, as he was staring at the weird blue flame, he was struck by inspiration! After reading lots of comic books, he tried melting metals together, and lacing them onto his lucky baseball bat! He later found out that the bat was too heavy to carry...
R: Wow! That's some dumb kid!
A: Only one as strong, courageous and good looking as me can lift this. And use the powerful alloy inspired by comic books to his advantage!!!
R: WOW! Bats beating axes!!! Never thought I'd see the day!

This explains it- the Wombats aren't hated for their near-xenophobic attitudes, they're hated for the fact that they won't freaking cover up! And honestly, if they all have bodies as toned as Ash's, than the reaction of everyone else- total jelousy- would be rampant amongst the other nations.
