For thousand years, Woona has been playing minecraft on the moon. And made it more advanced.
She tried to do so on Earth, but there wasn't enough space for creation, so she would sneak out at night and play everywhere. She wanted to play longer, so she decided to make an everlasting night and was banished to the moon. She've built a lot there and was enraged when her banishment ended. But then she used magic to return there in astral form during her sleep and continued playing.

It also explains one other important fact. Luna plays a modded version of minecraft, because vanilla just couldn't keep her interested for 1000 years.

And thus Woona learned that essential military lesson, that logistics and transportation are as important as armaments. A tank that's stuck on the moon doesn't really do much for her plans to conquer Equestria.
