Boomstick: And Cloud Strife, The Guardian of the Lifestream.

Wiz: These anime swordsmen are saviours of their worlds, but not before going through trauma. And when I mean trauma, I mean… STEVEN UNIVERSE level of trauma.

Boomstick: He’s Wiz and I’m Boomstick.

Wiz: And it’s our jobs to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win… a DEATH BATTLE.

Link belongs to The Legend of Zelda.
Cloud Strife belongs to Final Fantasy VII.

• The connections between Link and Cloud are that they're both blonde, quiet and powerful swordsmen and the primary heroes of massive gaming franchises created by Japanese game companies (Nintendo and Square Enix respectively). Both are wielders of some of the most iconic swords in video game history (The Master Sword and the Buster Sword, respectively). They are also the arch-enemies of nigh-immortal magical swordsmen with strong ties to their past (Ganondorf, the reincarnation of Demise who was defeated by a previous incarnation of Link, and Sephiroth, who was Cloud's former SOLDIER superior and destroyed his hometown). They both also have had a history of crossdressing (Link did so in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to blend in with the Gerudo while Cloud did so in his games to infiltrate Don Corneo).

• Both also made an appearance together in the crossover fighting games Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
