I've been in a PoM mood for a few reasons. First because of deciding to put my playlist on 8tracks, then because of finally seeing the movie, and then watching episodes and re-reading my old fanfics. BUT, I'm glad you approve all the same!

I'm wondering what were your favorite moments from the movie. I can find my long comment that I shared with my friends here in the day when I came back from the cinema?

Sure! You can share, if you like. I think some of my top favorite moments had to be Skipper moments-- in the MOVIE universe Skipper is my favorite of the bunch, which I'm mostly stating because i don't consider the movies and the TV SHOW anywhere close to the same canon. And of the tv show, Kowalski is still my favorite. But yes, back on track: Skipper constantly stopping to be extra affectionate with Private was just too much for me to handle. And even though it was over exposed in the trailer, 'You mermaid my day' seriously got such a huge laugh from me. I also really liked the animation on Dave in general-- it was very elastic and cartoony in comparison to many of the different models, which worked for his design. And then I liked seeing horrible things happen to Classified.... mostly because I'm not really a fan of Benedict Cumberbatch, but still.

I did have problems with the whole thing between Eva and Kowalski though. It felt way too forced, and not only did she feel like she was there ONLY to be a prized to be won-- like she barely had any screen time to begin with-- but I felt it also dumbed Kowalski down to his jokes being 'i'm an awkward nerd trying to get the girl'. When, as we've seen in the show, he can be so much more than that.

Ok, I just found and sent you the comment about the PoM movie. Better hold on and don't let your screen explode from the flood of emotions and excitement

Well I tried to consider things and  to compare but it all just doesn't fit so we actually have 2 penguin groups, the TV series one and the movie one. Although skipper was always my favorite... hard for me to say if the new movie skipper is better or worse. For me the awesomeness of him is the same anyway you will see in my long comment of the movie :3 So yes, Skipper moments my favorite also! I lawyas wanted skipper to be softer for Private so it was the best thing I could expect from that movie and the action was on the second place.
Well Eva is a better option for Kowalski than Doris but still... that unexpected kiss on the end. what it supposed to mean exactly? only "thank you" or something more? I don't know

No, see, I wouldn't have minded Eva and Kowalski getting together if Eva actually showed interest, you know? Like, if there was an actual romance being hinted at, besides Kowalski blubbering over her. But, as it was from the movie, she barely had lines in the film-- let alone actual moments with him. And so the fact she just goes up to him and goes "we should kiss" was just VERY out of nowhere. WHERE was the buildup? 

Then again, in all honestly... even the show is pretty terrible with writing female characters. Outside of Alice and Marlene, every other lady has been horribly flat and mostly used as an episode long love romance before going away again.

I don't think so about Marlene and Alice. Alice is a tough one. skipper even said in my language once that she is like his mother xD When she gave Rico a sort of cure to not to vomit :> And Marlene? She is a type of a buddy of the penguin team, laid back and helpful she likes music and parties so it's not that bad in her case i think
But when you are mentioning romances in pom.... oh no it reminded me Kitka skipper's one episode girlfriend xP That was just NO xP
