Yeah, it's a pretty adorable pairing. Usually I ship Appledash, Twiluna, Raripants, FlutterMac, and Discopie as my main ships...But the show just has so many great pairing possibilities, that you can't help but read and draw a little of everything. So I had been on a Twinkie Pie ship for a bit, and i noticed many of the stories I read had rarijack on the side. And just being constantly exposed and seeing how they balanced each other out...that's what made it grow for me. So i just ad to draw a little something for it. I'm glad you also enjoyed it.

Discopie is cool. TwiLuna is awesome, ScootaBelle is another that is recently started appealing to me as well.
However (not meaning you any offense here...) I can't really understand Appledash (butch shipping doesn't work for me... its just like... eeeeww) and FlutterMac seems impossible as they are both too shy. But I like Flutterdash, they are super cute together, can both fly (Dashie would want her special somepony to be able to fly with her and all...) and personalities wise complement each other very nicely and totally balance each other out.
Plus, Rarity and AJ shipping together goes nicely in my fan fics when featured alongside Flutterdash
I can totally see these two having a snooze on AJ's farm. RareJack balance each other out almost like Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash do and both of them would be able to learn a thing or two from each other about taking a day off from their insand workload they have.

I wouldn't say FlutterMac is impossible. yes, they are both shy, but that's where outside forces would have to try and help them to get together. I can actually see Applejack, Applebloom, Pinkie Pie, and (possibly) Rainbowdash teaming up and trying to get them to admit their feeling to their special somepony. When that doesn't work, then they start trying to trick them into it. And it just sort of escalates out of control until somepony (most likely Twilight) puts their hoof down. And after being embarrassed in all the other ways, it's probably a lot easier for Fluttershy and Big Mac to admit heir feelings to each other. though they probably wouldn't say it, it wold be more like Big Mac giving her a flower, Fluttershy blushing, and then them both just walking away from the group together quietly.
And as for Appledda- LOL! Heeey, i JUST noticed you changed your icon to my picture. Dawwww. <3 That's so sweet. i'm glad you liked it enough to do so. <3
But yeah, that was off track. haha. As I was saying- Appledash. I think I'm drawn to it because they're both hot headed, and rainbowdash seems like one of the few people that can rile AJ up. Ignite a flame in her, so to speak. And I noticed AJ lets herself get competitive around Dash. Not many other ponies she lets herself get carried away. And I think, as much as RD claims to like being the best....i think she DOES like the competition. Because not many people challenge her. And i really think, down the road, there is a chance of the two mellowing each other out. Maybe overtime RD won't be so advert to helping out and doing a liiiittle work. Sure, it won't be a 100 percent happy relationship. In fact, this is probably the ship where the two would butt heads the most. But they would love each other enough to make up with each other after they had sometime to cool down.
just my view on the two anyway. But that's okay if you don't like the pairings.

Yay, Rarijack! Haha, I know what you mean about the way that this pairing grows on one, or at least that's how it was for me. I've said it many times, but before I got involved with the pony fandom I never understand the idea of shipping characters at all (I didn't look down on it or anything, but just could not relate) but for whatever reason, I really enjoy the chemistry these two have, even if it's only as friends and now I seem to be well-known for shipping it. It is... strange how these things happen sometimes.
In any case though, this is a very cute image. I really love the body language here, and those little moths added in were an interesting (albeit cute!) touch!

I've always been open to shipping, and especially slashing and making gay and lesbian pairings. (Makes sense, seeing as I'm pansexual myself and am in a great relationship with a wonderful woman.) But I think part of the reason this pairing had to grow on me...well, it was mostly because I wasn't initially a fan of Rarity. Or more accurately, I didn't like her that much. She reminded me of too many people I know that I haven't had great history with. So I think it was just easier for me to go to my headcannon shipping of Appledash.
However...I have bee on a big Twinkie Pie kick lately, and Rarijack seems to be the side pairing in most stories. And as I read it and was exposed to it more and more...It just started becoming more and more enjoyable. i like that Applejack makes her become a bit more homely in the stories. that they balance each other out, really. So while it might ever be my headcanon pairing...that's okay. i still like it, and it has made me appreciate Rarity more because of it. And i enjoy looking it up on its own now.
And thank you! Originally i was going to add monarch butterflies because they are my favorite of the species...But i already felt there was too much orange in the picture. So I went with the moths instead. Mostly to help establish that it was a fall setting, and to make the place feel more secluded. the place is quite enough that bugs flutter and such about. I can see Rarity insisting that Applejack needed a break from bucking all day, and suggested an outing. Since Applejack isn't the type to be into social outing, I can see Rarity taking her to a place where they can just relax. Alone, so Applejack won't be disturbed and can REALLY rest. And of course Rarity would bring a soft blanket, so they won't be laying on the ground.

I've never had a problem with gay/lesbian pairings at all, either in fandoms or in real life, but again I just hadn't had much exposure to a fan community that so rabidly ships characters before getting into FiM I suppose, and so the idea had to grow on me a little bit. Rarity has always been my favorite character from the beginning though (I find her to be very kind and warm actually, in contrast to how many people seem to view her), and I found even the idea of her being close friends with Applejack to be intriguing due to their superficial differences. The more I read and saw of it though, the more the idea grew on me I guess and the more I began to believe they have more in common with each other than would appear at first glance, and like you I've now adopted it as a shippable pairing because I like the way the two of them balance each other out. Despite the fact that Applejack and Rainbow Dash are obviously close friends I have a difficult time getting behind that pairing because I feel Rainbow is ultimately too immature in many ways for Applejack to deal with long-term, and they also are both very competitive at many of the same things which I think might create problems eventually. But still, it's not a bad pairing by any means and I can certainly understand why many people would ship it.
Anyway, as for the picture you're very welcome! That's a lovely scenario that I can absolutely imagine happening, and yes the moths really do add a nice little bit of "fall flair". Lovely work again, and please do keep it up!

As for the moths, I'm sure they just thought they both smelled nice (one like sweet flower perfume, possibly lavender, and the other like apples). So they probably thought they had some yummy food on them. I'm sure if they had know they were intruding, they would have went on their merry way.
