Look wise and personality wise? Probably. But I just...really like the character chemistry this way. Especially with an overly protective little guy like Peepers constantly worrying about Hater and the watchdogs. It's so cuuuute.

pardon me but let's think about this wander is now... hateful has the power of cartoon physics, his strange ability to almost always win, and the mortality of borg(kill whatever you can't force into agreeing with you on every level) yeah the we're all going to die thing isn't very cheerful or peaceful.
