It's funny, I actually put a little of the Mad Hatter into the design. And yet my "mad hatter fangirling" feelings don't come up. All I see is Megs. And then I laugh as I picture him cuddling light bulbs.

No, I agree. I actually didn't "pretty him up" like I know a lot of art do when they turn the characters human. I think its better to try and twist and see how they'd actually look if you brought them into our world. Not everyone will look gorgeous.
That being said...I'd rather wake up next to a rat man, than a ratty looking man. LOL
