I've noticed a lot of controversy about people making Twilight black. In truth,I don't see why that even matters. It is how others see her. If it isn't the same as you see her,why should you attack them. Looking at the picture on the right,I like how it looks and does fit her. In fact,that was how I wanted her to look but avoided it because I didn't feel like dealing with the crap I would get but I don't care anymore.Twilight does not belong to me

I have yet to see anyone get attacked for making Twilight black, I have however seen people getting attacked for making her white.

Well...from an artistic standpoint, both skin tones work well with the violet color that is Twilight's default color.

She is the main one I can see being a different skin tone. Most of the others can go either way. Except I mainly see Rarity as being white.

For some reason I picture Rarity as Asian. but I can see why it'd be common if she were white. the only one I see as pale is Fluttershy, but still she could go either way

Why does it matter if someone draws the Mane 6 all white? It really shouldn't bother you, unless the picture is for you personally. Not everyone cares to draw diversity and just because they don't want to, doesn't mean that they are racist. Just saying.

well I mean I just prefer diversity, I don't HATE it. The artist has artistic license and being that they're ponies they can do what they want with it. again, I just like the idea that they are a diverse group of friends.

I don't get the issue either. They're pastel ponies in a fictional world, so their human forms and colors are very much open to individual interpretation. Until there's a 'mane 6 get turned into humans' official episode, we can't know what the creators would make them (unless they tell us, and they're not going to do that for a LOT of reasons).
Either way, this is a lovely picture. FWIW, I think the right side picture feels 'correct' to me.
