Chapter Five
      Handling changes

Delta: Joey?!

Sabrina begins walking around Joey.

Sabrina: Hmm. Not a very flashy you but it's acceptable

Joey: What do you mean?!

Delta: Joey?!

Sabrina: Not a bad voice either. I think you might be cuter a female.

Delta: JOEY?!

Joey: Stop calling me!

Joey notices a slight difference and quickly turns around. Sabrina
notices bandages unraveling from Joey.

Sabrina: Bandages? What are you hiding?!

Sabrina snatches the bandages from Joey. Tsubaki catches Joey and
stands her back up.

Kina: Big enough change Sabrina?

Delta: Are those real?!

Delta quickly jumps on Joey.

Joey: No! Don't!

Delta: Oh come on Joey, we just want to know if these are real.

A large grin appears on Delta's face but is quickly wiped off as
Sabrina kicks Delta off Joey.

Sabrina: Delta...honestly.

Delta: Ah come on, Sabrina. Aren't you curious too?

Sabrina helps Joey up to her feet.

Sabrina: If I wanted to test her out I'd stick out my hand like so and
squeeze.

Sabrina unintentionally reaches out and gropes Joey.

Joey: Kyaa!

Delta: He did the girly scream!

Delta bursts into laughter leaving Joey completely flustered.

Joey: S-Sabrina!

Sabrina: They're real?!

Faya/Kina: They are?!

Faya and Kina rush towards Joey who is being held down Sabrina.

Joey: That's not fair! Let go!

Kina slowly reaches out and gropes Joey.

Kina: My sensors do detect heat and blood is flowing. This is
unbelievable.

Sabrina grabs Faya's hand and makes her grope Joey.

Faya: No- I...oh my...

Joey: Stop groping me!

Faya squeezes Joey and begins blushing.

Faya: It's so soft.

Joey pulls away from Sabrina and moves away from the crowd.

Joey: I have a voice of my own to have say about this body.

Faya bows her head disappointed in herself. Kina soon follows Faya's
example while Sabrina turns away.

Sabrina: Alright...fine, we're sorry. So how many times have you
changed into a girl?

Joey: Once.

Faya: This is the first time?

Joey: Sadly...

Voice: You look better as a girl.

Joey: Oh great. The moron in a black cape appears.

Voice: Yet I'm still a stable sex.

Joey balls his hand into a fist slowly growing angry.

Joey: Say something else and you'll regret it.

Voice: Something-

Joey tosses a nickel at the mysterious voice who's body drops to the
floor.

Voice: ...That hurt ya know.

Joey: Sue me.

Sabrina: Max?

Max: In the flesh.

Joey: So lame!

Max: Shut up! Anyway, where is Joey?

Joey blankly stares at Max.

Joey: Why you-

Sabrina: Joey isn't here. You missed him earlier.

Max: I thought so.

Max quickly runs to Joey, grabs her hand and kneels.

Max: What is your real name? Joey is a unisex name but I know a cute
name for a cute female.

Delta stops laughing and looks at Max.

Delta: You do know that's-

Sabrina: Her name is Hitome.

Joey glares at Sabrina who flashes a smile at her.

Joey: Oh that's sly.

Max: Hitome.

Hitome: Eh?

Max pulls out a ring and stares at her.

Max: Marry me!

Hitome: Denied!

Hitome then snatches her hand away.

Hitome: Now get out!

Hitome pushes Max out to the balcony.

Max: Wait, how did we get here?

Hitome: Go!

Max: Wait!

Hitome stops.

Hitome: (I stopped?! What the?!)

Max: Can I at least have my goodbye ki-

Hitome quickly kicks Max in the face and off the balcony. She then
turns around and glares at Sabrina.

Sabrina: Hmm? What?

Hitome: Run...

Sabrina: Heh. I'm more than capable of taking you-

Hitome disappears and reappears behind Sabrina.

Sabrina: ...on...such speed...

Hitome tosses Sabrina on a near by couch.

Sabrina: I've had it!

Delta: I'mma firin meh lazar!

Hitome/Sabrina: Shut up!

Delta isn't seen in sight.

Hitome: Where?

Delta: Fire!

Sabrina quickly jumps out from under Delta's body slam. Hitome looks up
and is crushed under Delta. He then gets off her and notices she has
fainted.

Delta: Aww Sabrina, why did you move? I was just firin meh lazars.

Sabrina: Because I want to live a few more years. Decades even.

Kina: Hitome should have awaken by now. She must be injured.

Faya: And it would have been Delta to prepare this moment.

Delta: Thank you. Thank... Hey! It's in my nature to bug the living
daylights out of Joey and Hitome.

Sabrina: Just call her Hitome in the female form and Joey in male.

Faya: Well then let's put Hitome in Joey's bed. Then let her recover
for class tomorrow.

Sabrina: Oh, that's right. The professor will have a laugh over this.

Delta picks up Hitome and drops her on Joey's bed.

Faya: Delta! Yes, it's Joey but you have to remember that this new
form of him is a girl.

Delta: Joey will be ok.

Faya repositions Hitome and places a blanket over her. She then sets
the clock for class and leaves the room pulling Delta out with her.

Kina: Well this is a turn of events.

Faya: Yes. It has been rough on him...well Joey.

Sabrina: Lets just leave before something else unexpected happens.

Delta: Like Kina's sudden disappearance?

Faya: Eh, she is missing?

Sabrina: She must have went back to the professor. She is his P.A.
after all.

Faya: Then we'll need someone to stay with her.

Delta: I'm going home.

Delta quickly leaves.

Faya sighs.

Faya: Go ahead home Sabrina. I'll watch over her till morning.

Sabrina: Are you sure?

Faya: Yes, I'm a guest here after all so I'm already intruding. We
don't really need two watching over her.

Sabrina: Alright. Take it easy then.

Sabrina leaves and closes the door behind her. She hops in her car and
turns the key.

Sabrina: Why am I pausing? Joey will be ok.

Sabrina drives away. Morning arrives hours later.

Voice: Hitome? Hitome?

Hitome: Mmm?

Voice: It's time to wake up. We have class today.

Hitome sits up and stretches.

Hitome: Did you call me Hitome?

Hitome looks around and sees Faya.

Hitome: Faya?

Faya: Yes, I did say Hitome. You're still a girl.

Hitome frown then gets out of bed.

Hitome: I'm going to get washed up.

She then walks away to the bathroom.  She the walks back into the room
and grabs a pair of clothing from Joey's draw and stops.

Faya: Plan to dress up in male clothing?

Hitome: I thought there was a reason you sat there quietly.

Hitome sighs and places the clothing away.

Hitome: Ok. What do you have for me?

Faya smiles and gives Hitome some clothing.

Faya: I know you'll need help putting an item on so come back to me
after your dressed.

Hitome: Fine, fine I'll be back then.

Hitome leaves the room, washes up and returns.

Hitome: You can't be serious. You know I feel SO uncomfortable wearing
this.

Faya: You'll be ok. Now where did you put your bra?

Hitome: It was too tight on the loosest setting so I didn't put it on.
You can clearly tell mine are a little bigger than what you gave me.

Faya wrinkles her brow and snatches the bra back.

Hitome: Oh...sorry. I forgot these are your clothing.

Faya: Put the other bra on.

Hitome: Back I don't-

Faya: You'll start sagging.

Hitome quickly stops moving and looks at Faya.

Hitome: Alright. Just give me the thing then.

Faya hands Hitome a different bra. She then turns around, removes her
shirt and places on the bra.

Hitome: (Why didn't I change back?)

Hitome then dresses once again and turns to Faya.

Hitome: Better?

Faya: For now. Now sit down here.

Hitome: Why?

Hitome sits down.

Faya: Sit lady-like.

Hitome looks at Faya then sits with her legs together and places her
hands on her lap.

Faya: ...That's a little proper but whatever suits you.

Hitome: Ok. Let's get ready to go then.

Faya: Not yet.

Hitome slumps her shoulders and sits back against the chair.

Faya walks away and then returns. She then combs Hitome's hair
knocking the curls away and straightening her hair.

Faya: Ok. Cherry or peach?

Hitome: What?

Faya pulls out lipstick and smiles.

Faya: Time to make you pretty.

Hitome: Your having fun with aren't you?

Faya: Very much.

Hitome rolls her eyes and sighs.

Hitome: Cherry...

Faya: Peach it is.

Hitome: Eh? Why not cherry?

Faya: It'll look better. Now hold still.

Hitome sits still while Faya places her lipstick on.

Faya: Now fold your lips on and bite down on this.

Hitome does as told then sits back down. Faya grabs a camera and then
a mirror. Hitome looks into the mirror.

Hitome: Is that really me?

Faya: Not a bad job right?

Hitome: Don't gloat Faya, and why do you have my camera?

Faya: Sit pretty and smile.

Hitome: Faya...alright.

Hitome readjusts herself and smiles. Faya takes a picture and then
puts the mirror and camera back.

Faya: Ok. Let's go.

Hitome: Finally.

Gaya and Hitome leave Joey's house and enter the parking lot. Hitome
unlocks Joey's car and both enter.

Faya: Be sure you don't place the seatbelt on your top. It'll wrinkle
your clothing.

Hitome: But it's just a shirt.

Faya: Not just a shirt! Look your best at all times!

Hitome moves the seatbelt behind her and then slowly starts driving to
class.

Hitome: Fashion is a big look to you isn't it?

Faya: That's right. Which is why I get best dressed every year.

Hitome shakes her head and returns her focus on the road.

Hitome: Today feels like it's going to be a long day.

Faya leans forward to look Hitome in the face and smiles.

Faya: Yet a fun one all day.

Hitome: No one knows I'm a girl but you, Delta, and Sabrina. Not
including Max and Kina.

Faya: Which is why I said fun.

Hitome: Hmm...

Hitome parks the car in the school parking lot and then exits the car.
Faya follows soon after Hitome locks the car and enters the meeting
hall of the school. Faya begins looking around noticing many if the
males and few females are staring at Hitome.

Faya: Looks like your center of attention around here.

Hitome gives a slight blush and then starts walking faster.

F. Voice: Faya! Who's your friend?

Faya grabs Hitome's wrist and pulls her to a group of girls.

Hitome: F-Faya?!

Faya: This is Hitome. Go on and say hi Hitome.

Hitome blushes and bows her head.

Hitome: H-hello.

F. Voice: She's so shy.

F. Voice2: She's so cute.

Faya: She'll come around sooner or later. just give her some time.

Hitome notices one of the girls laughing.  Hitome begins checking
herself. A pair of hands appear from under Hitome's arms and gropes her.

Hitome: Kyaa!

Faya: Hmm? Mark?!

Mark then walks next to Hitome who is angrily staring at him.

Mark: So you name is Hit-

Hitome smashes Mark's face with a book. He drops to the floor
unconscious.

F. Voice: You just KO'ed the school's head quarterback.

Hitome: He groped me. Fair enough trade. Pervert.

Hitome walks around Mark and heads to class.

Faya: Um...later girls. Hitome, wait up!

Delta and Sabrina arrive near Mark.

Delta: Knocked out by someone slightly shorter than you. Shame.

Sabrina: I've knocked you out before Delta.

Delta glares at Sabrina.

Delta: Stick it you. Your a man in my book.

Sabrina's smirk flips as she elbows Delta's side.

Sabrina: Let's just get to class before I completely hurt you.

Delta: Right...right.

Delta and Sabrina leave Mark on the ground as students circle him.
Delta and Sabrina catch up to Faya and Hitome.

Delta: Nice one Jo-Hitome.

Hitome balls up her fist but leaves.

Hitome: I don't have time to fight all day. Let's just get today over
with.

Faya: So much for a good day and pep talk.

Sabrina: You do know you need to sit in front of the classroom till
the professor comes in right?

Hitome stops in her tracks and sighs.

Hitome: It's like I'm a new student all over again. Can today possibly-

Delta: Yes it will. Now let's embarrass you.

Delta pushes Hitome in the classroom lightly and positions her in
front of the class.

Hitome: Why you...

Delta: Ah a new student! Call me Delta.

Sabrina: The name's Sabrina. Pleasure to meet you.

Faya: (Sorry) Class rep. Faya. Welcome.

Delta, Sabrina, and Faya sit in their seats leaving Hitome standing in
front if the class with her head slightly bowed blushing. Professor
Strikes enters the classroom and places his books and looks around the
room noticing Joey's seat is empty.

Delta: He just walked past Hitome without even noticing her.

Sabrina: I saw that. I'm surprised myself.

Strikes: So is Joey dead to us? Did you toss hum out the window Sabrina?

Sabrina: W-wait a sec! Before jumping the gun talk to the new student!

Hitome quickly lowers her head attempting to hide her blush. Professor
Strikes walks over to Hitome and lifts her head with a pointer finger.

Strikes: She's pretty cute. So young one, what's your name?

Hitome: Hitome.

Tsubaki appears near Hitome as the room stares at Hitome and Tsubaki.

Hitome: About that...I'm formally known as...

Hitome takes a deep breath and exhales.

Hitome: I'm formally known as Joey.
