Chapter Nine

Sabrina: How are you feeling Tsubaki?

Tsubaki: Just a little tired, nothing too serious to *yawn* worry about.

Sabrina: Alright, well until Joey's apartment is fixed I guess you'll be staying with me.

Sabrina looks at Tsubaki whom is in a deep sleep.

Sabrina: This might be easier than I thought. Zerc, will you help me get Tsubaki in my car?

Zerc: Meh, told you I could have done this on the last page. Now I gotta do it again because the reader knows I didn't do it. And because Aseo might drop her.

Sabrina: I know that! Just help me out!

Aseo: I only did it once, it was an accident. I'll just load Hitome in Nyu's cart.

Nyu: Cart?

Aseo points to Nyu's bike and chuckles. Nyu glares at him, gets her bike, and walks away.

Aseo: She's silently cussing me out now but she'll be ok later.

Aseo picks up Hitome and gestures for Serenity to follow him. She gets up and slowly follows him as he walks back to his apartment.

Zerc: Maybe you should have taken Hitome, Brina.

Sabrina: Maybe. As long as I can check up on her and report back I guess things will be ok.

Syras: Shall we go Zerc?

Zerc: Yeah, well have fun Brina.

Sabrina: (Why does he call me Brina?)

Sabrina gets into her car and drives off with Tsubaki. Aseo arrives home shortly after Sabrina leaves. He places Hitome in a guest room and then leaves. Serenity enters the room and sits near Hitome.

Aseo: Give me a signal when you get tired and want to rest. I'll grab the air mattress for you to rest on.

Serenity nods to Aseo then looks at Hitome whom is unconscious. Aseo leaves and enters the living room where Nyu is sitting tapping her knee with her finger.

Nyu: You-

Aseo: I know.

Nyu: Then-

Aseo: Until they recover their strength.

Nyu: How-

Aseo: Do I know what you're going to say? I've know you long enough to memorize some of your thoughts.

Nyu sits quietly then shrugs.

Nyu: At least hear me out.

Aseo: Alright.

Nyu: Do you remember what we were to so today?

Aseo: Breathe?

Nyu: *sighs* Shop for food. Sound familiar?

Aseo: I want a cookie.

Nyu: What about the other courses? You can't always eat a cookie as a meal.

Aseo: And pizza.

Nyu: I'll handle the shopping Aseo.

Aseo: Mk. But I still want a cookie.

Nyu looks at Aseo and laughs.

Nyu: You certainly don't grow do you?

Aseo: I'm taller than you.

Nyu: I thought you'd say that. Anywho I'll be back. Leave the girls to rest and don't bug them.

Aseo: Hitome is actually a guy Nyu, so can I attack him when he wakes?

Nyu takes Aseo's car keys and leaves.

Aseo: Hey, don't wreck it again!

Nyu: First time was an accident. I've been watching you drive anyway.

Aseo: (Bad way to learn) Just be careful.

Nyu: Alright I get it.

Nyu leaves as Aseo puts on a movie. Hours pass and Nyu comes back. Aseo walks outside to see the car packed with bags.

Aseo: Holy carp that's a lot of pizza and cookies!

Nyu: Help me out would ya!

Aseo: But I'm watching a movie!

Nyu: You look like you were sleeping and the movie was watching you.

Aseo: (...now to think about it, I don't honestly know what the movie was about. Something about shoes.)

Nyu: Aseo!

Aseo: Fine!

Aseo grabs some bags and walks back into the house.

Aseo: Why is there other food in these bags? Where is my pizza?

Nyu looks at Aseo slightly puzzled.

Nyu: Don't tell me you only eat pizza for dinner.

Aseo: No. That would be dumb.

Nyu: Good, because I bought-

Aseo: I swap between pizza and cookies.

Nyu lowers her head and gives Aseo a weak smile.

Nyu: Guess I'll be cooking you other meals for your health.

Aseo: Health? I feel fine!

Aseo walks back outside to get more bags and returns with a box of cookies only.

Nyu: Where are the bags you went to get?

Aseo: What?

Nyu: Bags! Car! Go!

Aseo: Oh. I forgot. I saw the cookies and grabbed it.

Nyu turns Aseo around and pushes him outside to the car. She then takes the cookies from him, place bags in his hands, and point to the house.

Aseo: Meh. (she's gonna snap soon. When she does I'll get my cookies back and then go play OWE!)

Nyu: No OWE until you take the bags in and no cookies! (Online World is Epic)

Aseo: (Curse you reader for talking out loud when you read or have glasses that reflect the words on the page or-)

Nyu: It's not their fault. Your though bubble is near you.

Aseo looks up and sees a bubble over him.

Aseo: This isn't a cartoon, get out of here!

The bubble fades away as Aseo enters the house.

Aseo: Phailure. Now to go get my cookie.

Nyu: Do what now? What about helping me put away the groceries? You can have a cookie-

Nyu looks towards Aseo who is eating a cookie and leaving the kitchen.

Nyu: Afterwards...great.

Nyu hears a slight shuffling sound and turns around. Serenity is spotted putting away groceries.

Nyu: Thanks Serenity, I appreciate the help.

Serenity nods as Nyu continues to talk.

Nyu: I wonder why Aseo keeps ignoring me while I need help. Do I really need to constantly fight for little help around here? Why not assume I...

Serenity pats Nyu's shoulder, Aseo is seen putting food away.

Nyu: W-when did you?

Aseo: After I finished my cookie.

Nyu: Oh I give up.

Nyu storms out the kitchen and heads outside. Aseo sighs and follows her.

Aseo: What's got you so thin and out of shape?

Nyu: Don't bother to cheer me up with another random-

Aseo grabs Nyu's hand and holds her close to him.

Nyu: H-hey! What are you doing...?! ...catching me off guard and such...

Aseo: I'll make you a deal. Try not to snap so much, allow me to take care of things more-

Nyu: But-

Aseo: Because! It's starting to ruin your rest and stressing you out. And relax more.

Nyu:...and the other half of the deal?

Aseo: I'll stop annoying you so much and give you more time to yourself.

Nyu looks at Aseo shocked. She then turns around blushing.

Nyu: D-deal...

Aseo chuckles to himself as Nyu pushes away from him.

Aseo: Good. Now go get some rest.

Nyu: D-don't take the role of being bossy now...I'm going.

Nyu enters the house quickly. Aseo spots a kitten in a bush near him and kneels down.

Aseo: Aww...I was planning to save this but here little buddy.

Aseo pulls out a poptart and hands a piece to the cat. It slowly approaches him and takes the piece back into the bush.

Aseo: I'm gonna call you poptart stealing cat! That way the readers can't call you Nyancat by mistake.

Aseo stands up and points at the cat.

Aseo: Now Poptart Stealing Cat! Sing me a song!

The cat meows and caressed Aseo's ankle with it's fur.

Aseo: That was the shortest song ever for half a poptart. I demand a dance then!

The cat sits down and stares at Aseo tilting it's head.

Aseo: I want my poptart back...

Aseo smiles and gives another half to the kitten. He then leaves the kitten as it's mother shows up and carries it home. Aseo walks back into the house spotting Nyu giving Serenity water.

Nyu: There you are! Go help Hitome!

Aseo: ...What?

Nyu: Hitome has a large wound she kept hidden on her side. It started bleeding when Serenity went to wash her off.

Aseo: How big is the...-

Aseo walks towards Serenity and looks behind the counter. Four rags are spotted covered in blood.

Aseo: She needs medical attention and now. Nyu start the car, Serenity come with me and help me put bondage tape on her wounds. We have about an hour to get this done or she will end up in cardiac failure.

Nyu looks at Serenity knowing that she'd be in deep pain. Serenity wipes her tears away and nods to Aseo. They then gather a few more rags and tape then head to Hitome. Nyu leaves quickly and starts the car then back to Aseo and Serenity.

Aseo's face is turned away from Hitome as he holds her up and Serenity putting the tape around her waist.

Nyu: How large is the wound? Is it deep?

Aseo: The wound is from the bottom of her last rib bone on the right side and it doesn't look too deep. It was probably reopened when we transferred her over or moved her around too much.

Nyu: So all she'll need is a few stitched and rest then she'll be ok?

Aseo: Well that's the idea...unless she was infected when she got hurt.

Nyu's phone sudden rings.

Nyu: This is Nyu.

Voice: Nyu! It's Sabrina! We've got trouble!

Nyu: More trouble? What happened now?

Sabrina: Tsubaki was attacked by someone with a knife. Her right side below her last rib to the top of her hip was cut deeply. I'm taking her to the hospital now!

Nyu drops to the floor and looks at Hitome.

Nyu: So was Hitome.

Sabrina: What?! Both of them were harmed?!

Nyu: Hitome was sleeping for all I knew and then Serenity grabbed me because of all the blood loss.

Sabrina: I see...so if one gets hurt they both do...we need the two together as soon as possible.

Aseo: Nyu this isn't the time to gossip! We need to move out!

Nyu looks at Aseo blankly.

Aseo: Uh...what?

Nyu: Tsubaki is hurt with the same wound.

Aseo: ..oh great...
