as the entities they once were.

Their decisions befall, in the midst between them, reaching to surge,
as the entities they once were.

One can infer,
its hasty existence?
A mere quester,
or bare excrescence?

If only their hearts were each,
alas the high bloodsucker.
Find the good souls,
for braves one must be hunter.

Pack of nobles, or hordes of cries. What should I make a tribute for, if one weren't moral?

For the actual Manbat (lol...). The knights can be seized by symbiotic vampires, that in order to transform requires their neck to be 'hugged.' Through blood magic the vampires can bind their own blood to the
victims, ultimately eating their body, for the growth to this creature. This results in the knights' dismemberment yet their tissues remain internally sustained as they've become part of it. Barely needing it's own organs. It just uses theirs. This means that in order to kill the creature, you've to stab the two-layered veins, or one of their hearts through one of their armor. You can also kill it by exposing it to the sunlight, or drag it outside to be exposed to moonlight, that'll deal minor injuries. Or just find a way to conceal it from exposure, in order to starve it (But the knights become part of it's ketosis).

The vampires only go for the most armored which they find difficult to invade. Only a peasant will be spared, because they see them as inferior. This lack of attack can by the population be used as an excuse for witchburns. It's only in the Manbat form, that they'll suddenly unconditionally plague towns for themselves and their knights' sustenance. If a king transforms in his majestic armor, then get yourself an actual Dragonslayer.... (Don't worry, it's pretty rare that the king actually wants to get any closer to their habitat).

Being one of the knights, you can't tell if you'll have to be killed. You can't tell that awakening a saver's attention will get yourself killed if the saver is experienced on this. By ketosis, it only feels slightly painful to be alive.

The way it attacks is only like slashing, but nothing else.
