Paint and decals revised.

My uncle did not steal your rig... he only borrowed it.
Great idea and execution.
The only model I can identify is the Fruehauf 48' trailer used as the main body. What are the others?

Ha! That will be noted in his records.
I should have posted this info in the text...but didn't. Here are the main components.
AMT Fruehauf trailer (A649-200) - Main Body/Frame/Wheels&Tires
Revell Raketen-jagdpanzer M901A1 ITV (03087-0389) - Engine Housing (Back Panel) also random hatches and the turret is what is holding the bumper on.
Lindberg/LLoyd Dodge L-700 (N0.73067) - I used this model for the interior crew cabin as well as for some variety in the wheels.
I found some RC car suspension components and used them for the high rise suspension.
Most of the rest of it came from my collection of bits and pieces.
I was attempting to replicate a design I had from a little while back. You can see it
in this scale comparisons for my comic. [link]
I obviously wasn't too strict in following the design.
Good spotting the Trailer model by the way.

From what I saw in the link, that's a pretty good interpretation of what DMStrecker designed.

this is something I would love to do. Do you find it helps when you have a model like this when drawing?

I find having them solves problems of perspective when composing scenes, but I've just hit on this idea. So I haven't gotten much practical use from them yet. I do like having a tangible representation of my ideas.

having a numerous car model collection and having tried to scribble out vehicle drawings, I've also found this to be a very helpful with perspective and such. I've never tried to create my own model though. You made something really awesome.

It reminds me of the vehicle in Star Wars A New Hope, near the beggining the huge land vehcile that carried the droids.

I can see that. This thing is about 2/3 the size of a big tour bus, but it's ready for rough terrain.
