(First off, she's PREGNANT...not fat, okay people).I started drawing this way back when I first found out that Assey and I were expecting a baby. I was trying to get into the spirit of things so-to-speak. I was distracted and super busy making preparations and such so I didn’t have much time to work on any art but I was working on this whenever I got a spare second. I planned on having it finished before the baby came, and I would have too, except that the baby was a month premature (impatient little booger). After the baby arrived I had even less time to devote to art but I was determined to get this done. I FINALLY got some time to work on this just this week and I’m calling it finished now.
There are lots of things I dislike about the piece, especially her face, but I’m satisfied enough with it. It’s a special piece to me because of what it represents and what was going on in my life during the time it was worked on. For these reasons I’m requesting that the piece not be critiqued. It’s done and I’m happy with it so there’s really no need for it to be picked apart. Thanks.

Drow (well the vast majority of them at least) worship Lolth, the Spider Queen. As such, images of spiders and/or webs go hand in hand with Drow. Drow females are also known to prey to the Spider Queen when they seek to get pregnant and in particular if they want a female child (as females are held in much higher regard than males). All that, and the fact that my spouse and I were expecting a child at the time, inspired the image.

in all honesty i dont think i could have turned out any better then what it already is, as i see it i can tell there was someting special going on when you were working on it, though thats a little trick of mine lol anyway i enjoy how this look ive always had a fasination with Drow and really any kind of elf lol. except the short ones with pointy ears and shows that work on making toys lol. anyway this is a

This turned out beautifully. It's not often you see pregnant drow, at least, not for me anyways. The clothes are cute, and the background is superb. I love it. ^.^

It's really pretty! I love the outfit and how it still seems elegant and "drow sexy" while looking comfortable and suited for the pregnancy...and I really love the idea of the webbing creating her seat ^^ she looks beautiful and it's even more of a beautiful piece knowing that it represented a lot to you

That's awesome that the piece means something to you, she doesn't even look fat, you can definatly tell she's pregnant. Her face doesn't look bad. I actually kinda like her expression. I can totally see why you don't want this picked apart by critiques.

This is just beautiful. Really shows her glowing beauty. I personally find pregnant women very beautiful and this just captures that and that was the perfect outfit to show her full, beautifully rounded form. I can imagine how much a piece like this meant to you and I'm just looking at it in awe for so many reasons. Yes, I am a sap.

Nothing to pick apart anyway. This is pretty kick A!! So is Taralynn REALLY knocked up? Is Rylden the daddy or does Taralynn have some explaining to do? ^_^
The outfit is very cool, the way you have it setup is both very practical and comfortable for a pregnant woman, while at the same time keeping a great deal of sexiness.
We both love the webbing hammock thingy but boy will HER face be red when it comes time to go to the temple for birth or something ... to find out she be stuck!! Dang those sticky webbings!!
Purple just looks great on her and its awesome with everything going on you STILL managed to bring it her trademark spider earring.
OH OH OH!! Not that it matters, but is it a boy or a girl inside her tummy? Or an it ... ya know ... if she boinked a demon or something. (I would count Rylden as a demon

Yeah, at a late point in our story/RP (after Szordrin leaves the group), Taralynn does get knocked up by Rylden. Her firstborn turns out to be a male (a fact that pisses off Taralynn). Rylden ends up having to look after him and honestly if not for Rylden the kid probably wouldn’t be around for much longer.
As for the sticky butt…isn’t it obvious? She sprayed some non-stick cooking spray on her arse of course!

Ya know, this is my first time drawing spider webs (well semi-SUCCESSFULLY drawing them I should say). They look a bit more cartoony than I meant them too but I'm cool with it. How I did it, I don't really know... Maybe it's the sheer randomness of it? 
(Now that I think about it, since I colored over the lineart you can't really see what I'm talking about...d'oh!)

haha i drew a drow recently and i can assure you that skin tones really kills me XD, but yours looks different, i like the way you colour it

I saw your picture and I think you color Drow just fine...I admit they are really difficult to color though. Yours are nice and dark though and the detail is still present in the picture, that is the most important and most difficult part to me, coloring the dark skin without losing too much detail or making them look too shiney.
